"Hi, I'm Chucky, wanna play?"

Although we did already get a decent glimpse of Chucky's face via a revealing teaser pic last year, Child's Play remake star Mark Hamill has now unveiled a full look at the knife-wielding killer doll.

The new trailer will be with us on Thursday, but for now have a look at the image below and let us know what you think.

In this re-imagining of the classic '80s horror flick, the "Buddi" doll won't be possessed by the spirit of a serial killer (played by Brad Dourif in the original), and will instead be some kind of secret military weapon prototype. Yeah, we have our doubts too!

A contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic, Child's Play follows Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature.

Child's Play also stars Beatrice Kitsos, Ty Consiglio, Brian Tyree Henry and Gabriel Bateman, and is set to slash its way into theaters on June 21.

Can this start a new franchise or is this just a one off type of thing?

@WruceBayne - Totally capable of starting a new franchise.

@WruceBayne - The casting looks like it can be a sleeper hit, a future franchise if it's good. It's dumb how they changed Chucky's origins from killer voodoo doll to AI lmao.

never consider Child's play a scary film , aside from the battery scene . it will be interesting to see how they make a series out of this.

top 3 horror films to me

1. the Thing

2. demons / the witch

3. hereditary

@knocturnalzen10 - the thing is amazing and demons I accidentally turned on when I was a kid and my god was it terrifying!

I never cared for the witch or hereditary

Some of my favs are you’re top 2 and invasion of the body snatchers (modern version with Donald Sutherland) and jeepers creepers.

Man I'm so scared to come on new articles I really don't want to be spoiled by an idiot with a new account.

Anyway, I didn't know he was in this. I was actually hoping this would be news from the original guy's TV series

@MyCoolYoung - Yeah I think today will be my last day until the 26th man. smh lol I remember that happened for me involving IM3 and TDKR. Talk about a bummer summer.

Looks great. Different eyes than I had originally thought. I wonder if they'll capture the magic of the original when the doll first speaks on his own? lol

Complete side note: SHAZAM was [frick]ing perfect. Don't usually give films a 10/10 but its totally at a 9.5-9.8 range for me.

@TheRationalNerd - I just seem to disagree with everyone this year lol am I becoming a grumpy [frick]er? Hope not. But Shazam for me was disappointing, i'd give it like a 6/10 at the most. But i'm glad you enjoyed it. I also didn't like Captain Marvel at all this year. Hope Endgame gets me back on track lol

@JohnCastillo - Lol, hey man you're entitled to the way you feel dude! I dont know much about Shazam which is why I probably had a blast. But hey man it's no bigggie. Captain Marvel was an 8/10 for me. The acting could've had a little more life in it but it was visually amazing! Loved the Skrulls too.

@TheRationalNerd - It's good you're enjoying these things, and not down in the dumps like me lol. I felt it was not only the acting that had no life but the film as a whole with Captain Marvel. Only character that I sort of liked was the Skrull leader Talos but not the Skrulls as a whole. The visuals were kind of bland to me, the action scenes were poor and way too dark. It was a huge disappointment to me personally. Unpopular opinion... it's my least favourite MCU film, and there have been some crappy ones lol.

I'd still argue that this isn't a "full" look at Chucky/Buddi?...he's still obscured by a lot of shadows. I'd say like a 65-70% view of the character
