The full-length trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife is now online, and it highlights plenty of new footage of the next generation of spook-hunters in action while also taking fans of the classic movies on a nostalgia-filled trip down memory lane.

While the original team don't actually show up in person, we do see some archive shots of Egon, Ray, Peter and Winston, and Annie Potts puts in an appearance as Janine Melnitz. Plus, right at the end, we hear a familiar voice answer the call.

Most of the trailer spotlights the young protagonists played by McKenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard as they discover some of their grandfather's (that would be Egon) old tech and take the Ecto-1 for a spin, but there are plenty of (too many?) callbacks to the first Ghostbusters movie in there, too.

Check out the new trailer below, and let us know what you think.

From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts have all been confirmed to reprise their roles from the original movies, and they'll be joined by Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Carrie Coon (Fargo), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel).

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is currently set to blast into theaters on November 11, 2021.

I dunno man. When I see a new Ghostbusters movie, I expect to see lots of bad improv and queef jokes. /s

Actually it looks like a lot of fun. It’s nice to see Janine and Ray (at least his wrist).

I'll be there opening day no matter what, but I'm not sure if this trailer did enough to "hype up" a normal moviegoer to go and see it... The pacing seemed off. IDK... I'm just glad it's finally coming out.

@NOID - I don't know how someone gets pacing of a movie from a trailer, but ok.

@NOID - it's too much like a stranger things knock off than a Ghostbusters movie. Definitely an improvement over the remake but still not sold.

Ah man! I've been waiting for this! This feels like a modern Ghostbusters film. it has familiarity of the originals. I mean the visuals look straight out of the 1st film. and you have practical effects ghosts in there. I'm already sold on it.

@JESTR89 - Jason Reitman said that taxi driver ghost in the diner was a puppet. Mad props for that.

@Waddles - Agreed. Something as simple as seeing the 'Spirit lights' trail through the sky looks vintage.

@TheFinestSmack - Yeah, in-fact if you look back he's actually dressed like a 'Coal Miner' Which makes sense for the location! Loving the designs.

That two seconds of zombie at the diner is already better than all the Scooby Doo-tier ghost effects from the last movie. And for the record, I liked the ghosts in the Scooby Doo movies. When they were in the Scooby Doo movie. Not so much in Ghostbusters.

But the BIG question is: Did Jeneane end up with Egon or Lewis?

@FleischerSupes - In the trailer commentary, Jason keeps that close to his chest, but does mention that Janine seems to have always been looking after Egon, even later in life. So it's still up in the air who ended up with Janine.

@Waddles - Isn't Rick coming out of retirement for the new Honey I Shrunk The Kids sequel with Josh Gad? Hoping that means he's up for a Louis cameo.
