It's crazy to think that
Iron Man arrived in theaters over eleven years ago, and while we said goodbye to the hero in this summer's
Avengers: Endgame, the Armoured Avenger' impact will be felt in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a long time to come.
Today, Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding has taken to Instagram to share some unused concepts from the Jon Favreau helmed release. He says that,
"I did these to help figure out the suit up sequence in post-production." These are all very different to what ended up on screen, but seeing any one of them in live-action would have been amazing.
Included in the gallery below are some other officially released pieces of concept art by Adi Granov, as we get to see everything from alternate Iron Monger designs to Tony Stark in action.
These are all really cool and provide a fascinating look at the work that went into creating
Iron Man back when the Marvel Cinematic Universe was still just an idea in Kevin Feige's mind!
