IRON MAN 3 Writer Hints That "All Hail The King" Will Indeed Be 'Mandarin' Based

Well, he doesn't actually mention the character, but Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce sent out a belated happy new year tweet carrying the hashtag "All Hail The King" - the title of the new Marvel one-shot that'll feature on the Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray release.

Why would Iron Man 3's screenwriter send out a Tweet relating to the upcoming Marvel one-shot "All Hail The King"? Well, one theory is that this short -- which will appear on the Blu-ray of Thor: The Dark World -- will focus on "The Mandarin"; better known as Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley).

The title caused many to jump to the conclusion that this short must somehow tie into the ending of Thor: The Dark World, in which (SPOILER ALERT) Loki is seen posing as King Odin -- but as Bleeding Cool rightly point out, the previous Marvel shorts very rarely had anything to do with the disc they appeared on. In fact only "Item 47", which was a feature on The Avengers Blu-ray, directly tied into that movie. Also, "the king" of the title may very well refer to Slattery, who's "King Lear was the talk of Croydon". Nothing for certain yet of course, but I'd say it's a safe bet. What do you guys think?
