BOX OFFICE: JUSTICE LEAGUE Currently Expected To Debut In North America With Less Than THOR: RAGNAROK

The updated box office estimates for Justice League's opening weekend in North America are here and while it appears as if the DC Comics movie will have a solid start, it can't be what Warner Bros. wanted.

Variety reports that Justice League is on track for an impressive but somewhat underwhelming opening weekend of $110 million at the North American box office. Tracking hasn't shifted since estimates were first revealed on October 26th but with Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok making $122.7 million a couple of weeks ago, Warner Bros. can't be happy with its big budget superhero ensemble performing like this.

After all, Justice League is the movie which brings together Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and a number of other DC Comics superheroes for the first time and should hit a much bigger number.

Last year, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice debuted with $166 million but Justice League is still ahead of Wonder Woman's $103 million
debut (a sign perhaps that it restored at least some faith in the DC Films Universe among moviegoers). It's possible that the movie could overperform but equally as likely that it won't reach $110 million because of the negative reviews which have been circulating.

It's been reported that Justice League cost upwards of $300 million to produce, so the studio needs this to be a hit. Fans will also be hoping for the same thing, especially if Justice League 2 is ever going to happen. How much do you think the movie will make? Share your thoughts in the usual place.
