BOX OFFICE: JUSTICE LEAGUE Has Passed $600 Million Worldwide But May Struggle To Top MAN OF STEEL BOX OFFICE: JUSTICE LEAGUE Has Passed $600 Million Worldwide But May Struggle To Top MAN OF STEEL

Justice League has hit another couple of benchmarks at the worldwide box office and while the DC Comics adaptation may have finally hit $600 million, it's unlikely to go much higher as of right now...

Justice League didn't get off to the strongest of starts at the box office and as the weeks have passed, ticket sales have started slowing down. Coco was the first to take a bit out of the DC Comics adaptation's haul and now with Star Wars: The Last Jedi less than a week away, the movie is going to struggle to ever reach Man of Steel's $668 million haul even though it's now passed $600 million.

As you can see below, with over $400 million overseas, Justice League's total currently sits at $613.4 million. While the movie is going to keep making money over the next few weeks, The Last Jedi is expected to break a number of records and that will obviously slow down what Justice League can do.

As a result, the chances of the superhero ensemble topping Superman's first modern solo adventure are slim and that's not a good for a movie Warner Bros. invested an awful lot of money in. Right now, the chances of a sequel happening in the near future have to be between slim and none but there's a chance that Flashpoint could effectively serve as one. What do you guys think? Sound off below.

I think it is fair to say that if this film didn't feature DC's 'A list' characters that this could have been one of the biggest box office bombs of all time (comparable to something like John Carter of Mars).

Even as a Marvel fanboy I will admit that the fact this didn't rival Avengers is shocking. But to see it do almost a billion less is truly shocking.

@Krampus - Yeah, That’s what bugs me the most. They will never have another first chance at this. They screwed up their one shot to make it awesome....when it should have been.

@Kevwebsz - This current DCEU need to be buried. They need to start off new with the Matt Reeve Batman and maybe Shazam in 2019 or 2020. But this time with a damn plan and find someone like Feige not Snyder to oversee the whole damn universe.

@Shanksman - They're gonna pull a Fant4stic and hurt the property except with an entire universe.

@Shanksman - What ever happened to Geoff Johns supposedly becoming the new Kevin Feige of WB? I thought he was supposed to come in and fix the DCEU. I haven't heard a peep about his role in the Justice League movie.

JL should've just been exclusively a Sundance Festival Film. That way it'd exceed expectations.

Dang I really thought this movie would still make money even with the bad reviews, but I was naive.

"Seems like Justice League has a decent chance to top all three of those."

"Especially if Wonder Woman ends up being a critical hit and lending
the DCEU some momentum going into Justice League."
