Justice League didn't get off to the strongest of starts at the box office and as the weeks have passed, ticket sales have started slowing down. Coco was the first to take a bit out of the DC Comics adaptation's haul and now with Star Wars: The Last Jedi less than a week away, the movie is going to struggle to ever reach Man of Steel's $668 million haul even though it's now passed $600 million.
As you can see below, with over $400 million overseas, Justice League's total currently sits at $613.4 million. While the movie is going to keep making money over the next few weeks, The Last Jedi is expected to break a number of records and that will obviously slow down what Justice League can do.
As a result, the chances of the superhero ensemble topping Superman's first modern solo adventure are slim and that's not a good for a movie Warner Bros. invested an awful lot of money in. Right now, the chances of a sequel happening in the near future have to be between slim and none but there's a chance that Flashpoint could effectively serve as one. What do you guys think?
