It was recently revealed that Joe Manganiello will take on the role of Deathstroke in a solo movie from The Raid director Gareth Evans. That's pretty much a match made in heaven and no double welcome news for the actor after it became apparent that the character probably wouldn't make an appearance in The Batman (which was the original plan when Ben Affleck was set to direct the DC Comics movie).

That solo movie is still in the very early stages of development, though, and we don't even know when cameras will start rolling. It could be that we'll be waiting for this one to be released until as late as 2019/2020! Like most of the DC Films Universe, it frustratingly appears to be in flux for the time being.

[SPOILER WARNING] If you've seen Justice League, you'll know that Deathstroke shows up in the movie's after-credits scene at the behest of Lex Luthor. It's not made clear whether or not Slade was the one who broke the villain out of Arkham Asylum but he appears to be intrigued by the prospect of forming the Injustice League! [END SPOILERS] Now, Manganiello has shared a photo from that.

@Prork - I doubt it's the last. He's been getting a lot of attention despite the movie he's attached to.

i have hope for this flick because of the director. A Raid Style (tone) DS Movie would be awesome.

Hopefully with a small budget, so WB dont intervene that much because of big investments.

So WB...Give the man his 50 mil budget and stay out of his vivion for once.
