We'll probably never learn what Zack Snyder originally had planned for Justice League but more details continue finding their way online which paint a clearer picture of what the filmmaker might have had in mind for his version of the DC Extended Universe. Now, some concept art has started doing the rounds which seemingly sheds some light on what would have been an origin story for the evil Darkseid.
As you can see below, it seems as if Justice League's flashback sequence was supposed to feature Darkseid's arrival on Earth and fans who have deciphered the hieroglyphs believe that we would have seen a battle between the villain and Ares as well as the moment he gained "The Omega Effect."
The insignia of the Anti-Life equation is pictured at his feet and it seems as if we would have met Darkseid as a normal "man" before he was transformed into the near indestructible force who retreated to Apokolips. Clearly, Snyder was planning a story which would have played out over a number of movies and it's easy to see why this worried Warner Bros. as it could have confused fans.
Regardless, we'll never get to see this story play out and if Darkseid does make his big screen debut, it will more than likely be in The New Gods movie which is currently in the works from Ava DuVernay.
