More like too generic.

He does know the New Gods (which includes Darkseid and his Elite) are not monsters right. They are gods.

They arent Lord Of The Rings orcs, if anything they should be more like characters out of Game Of Thrones, with the only monstrous looking one being Darkseid.

Like seriously, with a Dessad that looks like how he does in this movie, and id assume others from apocalypse also look like that, guess there goes any possibility of them going to earth in secret, which they have in several adaptions for different purposes.

@dracula -

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

If Snyder wanted a monster looking New God to use it should have been Kalibak.

@TheBlueMorpho - i have also said that in the past.
Dredd97
Dredd97 - 11/23/2020, 5:28 AM
@TheBlueMorpho - Honestly, they could've done both. Let Steppenwolf be the regular hunter/leader he is, and you have your monsters with the parademons and Kalibak.

Tbh, it isn't edgy or creepy. It's just lame.

You know what would be edgy and badass? A slightly monstrous Ciarán Hinds decked out in medieval armour and red horns.

It's a shame they [frick]ed up his design this badly.

Prefer the original design their using for th S-cut...but wish they'd have gone with an updated version of the comic ....that wouldve been cool as F!
SnideCut
SnideCut - 11/23/2020, 2:34 AM
The original design was waaaay better. The new one looks like crumpled aluminum foil.
dracula
dracula - 11/23/2020, 3:07 AM
@SnideCut - all the original needed was better CGI, maybe some better armor design

You have posted that before, if you dont want people to give their opinions then stay out of comment sections, that is literally the point of them.

I don't think he is scary at all. His design looks to over-done and his face... well, only a mother could love a face like that

@bkmeijer - honestly proffer the whedon version. Yes the CGI could have been a lot better, but doesn't look like a monster, looks like a warrior.

Really give him better cgi or just put an actor in an actual costume and it could look fine. maybe give him a cooler armor design
bkmeijer2
bkmeijer2 - 11/23/2020, 3:09 AM
@dracula - agreed. The only thing that could've been done better was the helmet in my opinion
Humperdink

That outfit is severely overworked with so many one-tone parts that it almost becomes an indistinct mess of sharp metal peices.

@Humperdink - exactly. Looks like they wrapped him in aluminium foil

Floke
Floke - 11/23/2020, 4:33 AM
@bkmeijer - Sounds like they said it was "too scary" because they didnt want to hurt his feelings by saying it looked like overdesigned crap..
