It's not exactly a surprise that Zack Snyder has always had something of a grand plan in mind for the DC Extended Universe, and the filmmaker has now elaborated on how he views Justice League.

While it's previously been reported that we can look forward to a four-part miniseries on HBO Max, Snyder sounds hopeful for a six parter with an epilogue to boot.

"The thing about the movie I think that’s interesting is that, the way I constructed the cut was, it’s six chapters, right?" he tells The Film Junkee"So, it was always this chaptered concept, you know, like where the first section says 'Part 1' and then you have this little section, and then 'Part 2,' and you have this other section, and then 'Part 3,' all the way through, six parts, and then epilogue."

Snyder would go on to say that, if given the choice, the movie would be released in black and white on IMAX screens. That makes sense based on the colourless Vero posts he's been sharing for the past two years, but it's unlikely to be presented in that format on HBO Max.

As well as sharing a new image on Vero, Snyder has also teased what we can expect from tomorrow's trailer. "Steph and I colored a black & white version of the trailer, and so, the first version I’m gonna put out, and probably what we’re gonna talk about on Tuesday, will be the black & white version of the trailer."

As the trailer is expected to be the same as the DC FanDome sneak peek, that's not a surprise.

Check out Snyder's tease below and stay tuned to CBM for that new Justice League trailer!

So, these super colourful characters and costumes, which are already desaturated by Snyder's colour grading, would be in B&W in his ideal cut? Damn, he truly is out-Snydering himself

He wanted to put the film on IMAX as black and white?

I’ve defended some of Snyder’s actions in the past. But this wasn’t (originally) intended to be a gritty western epilogue to a franchise like Logan was.

It’s the [frick]ing Justice League man. The embodiment of hope and justice and the “American way!”

Come on man...

@BlackBeltJones - And that's why I don't get Snyder's approach. The colors add to how dynamic each character is. They display their moods through their costumes in some cases. It's so weird to want such a saturated color pattern

So ... one and three quarters chapters per episode?

I wonder if it's An hour per part? If so, c'mon Snyder. Why does it take him so long to get to the point? A bunch of side plots and pointless characters that have no baring on the movie. It shouldn't take 4-6 hours. It's frustrating to read let alone frustrating to watch

@MyCoolYoung - My guess, is that every chapter was catered to a different member of the team. Because really, only half the characters were fleshed out prior to this movie. This way you can see the events unfold through the eyes of someone different.

This is what you get when everyone is rushing to get to a JL movie before you fully establish your world.

@JoeInTheBox - facts. Even if it was though, having each character be a chapter would seem weird or out of place for a movie. Seems more akin to mortal Kombat than a blockbuster.

Sometimes it seems that Snyder doesn’t know what she be left up to the audience and what he should show
