On Saturday, Ray Fisher sent out another Tweet accusing DC Films president Walter Hamada of attempting to impede the investigation into the actor's initial claims of misconduct on the set of the Joss Whedon-helmed Justice League reshoots back in 2017.

Fisher was responding to the recent news that Warner Bros. is developing a Superman reboot with a Black actor in the lead.

WarnerMedia responded with a statement backing Hamada, and also released a second statement from a retired federal judge who oversaw the investigation.

"Once again there are false statements being made about our executives and our company surrounding the recent Justice League investigation," read WarnerMedia's statement. "As we have stated before, an extensive and thorough third-party investigation was conducted. Our executives, including Walter Hamada, fully cooperated, no evidence was found of any interference whatsoever, and Warner Bros. did not lie in the press. It’s time to stop saying otherwise and move forward productively."

"I am disappointed by continued public statements made suggesting that Walter Hamada in any way interfered with the Justice League investigation. He did not," investigator and former federal judge Katherine B. Forrest said in her statement. "I interviewed him extensively on more than one occasion and specifically interviewed him concerning his very limited interaction with Mr. Fisher. I found Mr. Hamada credible and forthcoming. I concluded that he did nothing that impeded or interfered with the investigation. To the contrary, the information that he provided was useful and advanced the investigation."

Fisher then followed-up with a second Tweet:

Fisher's original claims against Joss Whedon were recently backed up by Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Chrisma Carpenter (as well as several of her Buffy and Angel costars), who made some very troubling accusations against the director.

WarnerMedia's investigation had already resulted in "remedial action" being taken against Whedon - who "stepped away" from his HBO series The Nevers - but it doesn't look like things are going to be taken much further, and it seems clear that the studio and its financial backers have no intention of continuing to pursue Fisher's claims against Hamada.

I'm sorry but Ray Fisher is a clown for this. Not only is his tweet about the Black Superman news reek of extreme saltiness (and he also apparently sent out another attention seeking tweet when the new actress was cast as Supergirl), but now he's trying to thrown in semantics to hide his bullshit.

Don't forget that this particular investigator was brought on at Ray Fisher's request. Don't forget that a while ago Ray posted a short audio clip of this same investigator praising him as a gentleman, as if that one vague statement (like all of his accusatory tweets that lack context) completely proved his righteousness and truth. But now that Ray himself decided to call into question the investigator's work by claiming Hamada tried to "publicly delegitimize a very serious investigation" and that she didn't find that out, and when said investigator is forced to defend her work by claiming Hamada never did anything of the sort, she's "misleading and desperate?" Is he serious right now?

The fact that he thinks adding "ATTEMPTING" makes any difference is incredibly hilarious. ATTEMPTING to interfere with a process is still interfering. According to Fisher's logic, Donald Trump should not have been impeached or criticised in anyway because he only ATTEMPTED to overturn the US presidential election and incited a coup ATTEMPT.

I don't think there should be any doubt that Joss Whedon is not only a piece of shit but was a piece of shit on the Justice League set. However, action has been taken against him and that is that. At this point it's clear Fisher has let the Twitter echo chamber of Snyder's hashtag supports get to his head and he wants to just go after everyone for no reason at all.

@Kumkani - summed everything I was gonna say a black man this shit is embarrassing tbh. Then throwing the Superman movie under the bus probably cause his career is stalling is even more trash

@Kumkani -

His whole statement is contradictory.

He states Hamada was unsuccessful because he didn’t allow him to interfere yet follows that up with saying the investigator is being misleading by saying there was no interference.

Non of it makes sense.

@whynot -
If Whedon got fired for anything, it was to get ahead of the Charisma Carpenter story. Anybody with a brain knew that story would get out, and it is a horrible story. But I feel it has nothing to do with what happened on the set of JL.
That's why I think Fisher used Carpenter to oust Whedon.

@Battabing - well the story Carpenter said really wasn’t all that bad tbh

1.) Whedon was upset she broke her contract by not informing them she was getting a tattoo (that’s a no no in this buisness)
2.) the calling her fat to collegues sounds like she heard this was said I read of being there that’s heresay shouldn’t hold up

3.) she got pregnant didn’t tell anyone til scripts and season was planned. Whedon may have had a private conversation about that but can we really just trust that Carpenter is being honest about what’s been said. Maybe she felt he was leading to her “options on abortions” but there was no one to collaborate this story.

4.) bad crude humor onset. I believe this one but I think some would consider crude humor and others would just say it was jokes. People like Anthony Stewart head and SMG hasn’t came out and stated they witnessed these actions so we just have to believe Carpenter for her word lol?
5. The character who played dawn made a very Vague statement of wasn’t allowed alone with Whedon well she was an underage kid I wouldn’t allow my underage kid alone with a middle age man either. I won’t comment further on that til more info is revealed. But I won’t condemn him without said info.

5.) a writer said “he laughed about making a women cry twice” yet no one came out besides her who can collaborate.

I’m not saying Whedon is perfect and hasn’t done messed up stuff but pointing out behavior that may or may not have happened 20+ years ago should not ruin the mans legacy

@whynot - We're probably in the minority, but I'm kind of with you. I've tried to keep up with all of the accusations about Whedon, and pretty much everything seems to fall under that "casually cruel" label that someone stuck on him.

Did that make him a bit of an asshole? Yeah, for sure. Should it ruin his career? I've not heard anything yet that warrants it. As for JL, he walked into a no-win situation. It was a hostile, stressful environment with a tentpole movie on his shoulders. I'm sure in that situation any one of us may have bruised a few egos in a mad rush just to get the job done.

Hey, maybe I could be wrong, but there's a giant chasm between "casually cruel" and the types of activities that should get your and your legacy thrown out the window.

@Chewtoy - thats why they cast Christopher reeves as superman. Its because they saw into the future that this was gonna lead to a series of events that would end up with the stuff bts on justice league and they wanted to make sure it happened to spite a not yet born Ray fisher.

@Chewtoy - I'm not saying I believe everything he has said but from my experience coming from a corporate background I can tell you his accusations have merit. The moment employees bring up issues or concerns it's easier for leadership to sweep it under the rug than take accountability and find a replacement. It all comes down to cost. The negative press will bring their shares down and they will have to launch a positive reinforcement campaign to change the culture which costs money. So the moral of the story. Perverts, racists, and bigots stay in positions of power because it's cheaper to keep em than to spend on damage control.

@SonOfAGif - which is fine but if it’s as serious as he’s claiming then At the point are trying to maintain a relationship with WB or expose them for their wrongdoing . His mysterious wording makes it seem like he wants to expose whatever happened but still keeping his contacts and sometimes the food requires sacrifice , if he’s in the right he will be redeemed

@SonOfAGif - companies will deny anything that makes them seem wrong or guilty, yes, but that doesn't mean there's any merit to the claims. What do you think their response should have been from a not guilty perspective, firing whedon on the spot without an investigation?

"I DID NOT ALLOW HIM TO"

I mean seriously, who the [frick] does this guy think he is? Why does he think he has any sort of clout whatsoever?

@RageDriver2401 - He kinda does tho. He has his little cult minions. But just because he has some clout, doesn't make him right.
RageDriver2401
RageDriver2401 - 2/28/2021, 6:10 AM
@KWilly - I don't think that cult gives him any sort of pull. They're just that, a cult. They're widely regarded as loons. And it's not even his cult, he's a minion to the leader of the cult.
