@tylerzero - he’s still on my short list for old Bruce in a Batman Beyond movie, along with Kevin Conroy, Michael Keaton and Peter Weller

@sneakybastard - that’s exactly who’s under that mask. He made it out of Auschwitz just to have his parents murdered in an alley.

Chicolini : Now I aska you one. What has a trunk, but no key, weighs 2,000 pounds and lives in a circus?

Prosecutor : That's irrelevant.

Chicolini : Irrelephant? Hey, that'sa that answer. There's a whole lot of irrelephants in the circus.

I'd still take a George Miller JL film over the entire DCEU thus far.

I never understood why people got all upset over the destruction of Metropolis in Man of Steel. You had two VERY SUPER HUMAN BEINGS fighting in a city, what did you expect to happen? Just like the killing of Zod. How was Superman supposed to stop him? Beat him up until he learned his lesson? NO. Lock him up? HOW!? What other way was there to stop Zod instead of killing him? And don’t give me that “Lock him back in the Phantom Zone” nonsense because that ship had sailed.

@WruceBayne - It's not the destruction that is the problem. It's a) Man of Steel rarely has any levity in it (and the few moments it does fall flat) which b) makes it feel like a chore to get through, so therefore c) it's unceasingly grim which d) makes that part of the film overloaded and lack any weight because the film before that has no joy.

Plus, MoS had that awful and awkward moment of Superman and Lois kissing before the fight with Zod while there's a whole lot of destruction and casualties. It then goes on to even more wanton destruction during said fight, and then after that movie it all goes back to normal with a wannabe cute ending with Clark and Lois and a soldier saying Superman is hot.

You know how people complain when a Marvel movie undercuts and undermines a serious or dramatic moment with a joke? This is what MoS does, but not necessarily with humour. Just with a lack of consequences or contrasting emotions which create narrative tension before it.

There's some clear By Gaslight/Doom That Came to Gotham inspiration in the head piece which is nice as is the bat in the chest, but other than that? Terrible thing all-around.

I would actually love to see a Lee Bermejo inspired suit in live-action, it would probably translate really well.

That doesn’t look too bad. I think it has potential, and I would have like to have seen it get further into the concept process. Minus the Bat-watch.

Someone was clearly overthinking a Batman suit. Looks ugly as hell.
