JUSTICE LEAGUE: Ray Fisher Issues Statement With Accusations Of Racism And Reshoots Involving Cyborg's Penis

Zack Snyder's Justice League star Ray Fisher has issued a lengthy statement alleging racism on the set of the film's reshoots, and detailing scenes which were added to highlight Cyborg having a penis.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is fast approaching, but Ray Fisher's battle against Warner Bros. continues to steal some of the movie's limelight. The actor is certainly sharing some serious allegations which deserve to be highlighted, though, and a statement released via Twitter includes some of his most damaging claims to date.

Fisher says that "studio executives" (including DC Comics writer Geoff Johns) "[used] their power to reduce and remove ALL Black people from that movie...They understood full well that the racist rhetoric they chose to entertain in those meetings was offensive, discriminatory, and unacceptable."

"Furthermore, they dared not speak those things to me, nor any other Black person associated with the film. Instead, they chose the cowardly route of gaslighting- complete with extremely problematic requests such as asking me to 'play Cyborg like Quasimodo'; and forcing a scene to be reshot so they could highlight the existence of Cyborg's penis," he continues.

We know Joss Whedon pushed for Vision to have a penis in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it's unclear which scene Fisher is referring to here. Johns was a huge part of reintroducing and reimagining Cyborg in the DC Universe in the midst of "The New 52" reboot (so likely had some strong opinions about Victor Stone's depiction), and he continues to be the main focus of Fisher's accusations.

"[Make] no mistake, Geoff Johns worked intimately with Joss to overhaul the entire Justice League script. And while Geoff was not credited as a co-writer of the film, he was certainly an enforcer of the race-based discrimination that occurred during his conversations with Toby and Jon."

The full extent of the actor's accusations can be read in the statement below:
