JUSTICE LEAGUE Star Ray Fisher Refutes WarnerMedia CEO's "Tone Deaf" Claims And Reveals New Details

Last night, WarnerMedia CEO Ann Sarnoff spoke to Variety to dispute many of actor Ray Fisher's claims about the company's handling of the Justice League reshoots investigation. He's previously taken aim at Warner Bros., filmmaker Joss Whedon, and producers Jon Berg and Geoff Johns, though Sarnoff has now said that the director's character cuts "were not racially motivated."

She didn't mention Berg and Johns, but defended current DC Films boss Walter Hamada (who had no involvement with that 2017 movie), and went some way towards discrediting Fisher when she said that, as far as she's aware, there's no NDA stopping him from sharing his side as he's previously claimed.

Well, the Cyborg actor has now responded.

In a series of Tweets, Fisher argues that "a room full of executives saying 'we can’t [have] an angry Black man at the center of the movie' (and then reducing/removing all Black and POC from that movie)" is, in fact, racist. He also points out that Whedon is being used as something of a scapegoat to protect others, while also casting doubt on the credibility of that investigator.

Agree or disagree on those points, it's hard to dispute what Fisher calls Sarnoff's "tone deaf" comments about race (many fans have since taken to social media to say they feel her statement did essentially boil down to, "We have a person of color in charge, so can't be racist").

Check out Fisher's full response to Sarnoff's comments below:

@KWilly - didn't you hear? This movie was run by the kkk. And Hamada is the grandmaster. Also, Hamada was blind at birth and was always taught he was white.

@KWilly - It's run of the mill Hollywood execs being racists and assuming the moviegoing public shares their prejudices.
They won't burn crosses in someone's backyard but sure as hell would probably have a low-key panic at one of their children dating a PoC.

Did they actually say to you or anybody “we can’t have an angry Black man at the center of this movie.”? Do you know that for a fact? Because if that is just your presumption Ray, that’s some standard 2021 race baiting bullshit right there.

Interesting, now that he's been freed from the "NDA", he has finally come out with... literally the same weak claims he had before 🤨

Anyway here's an Off Topic joke:

"I'm Zack Snyder's Superman"
