With just a week to go until Justice League hits theaters, Warner Bros. has released the full soundtrack for the highly anticipated DC Comics adaptation. Junkie XL was originally supposed to score the movie but when Joss Whedon took over those reshoots and the post-production process, he hired Danny Elfman, someone who has obviously given the superhero ensemble a very different sort of feel.

The only track not here is "Mother Russia" and that could be because it's used when Superman returns. Elfman has previously said that scene reuses John Williams' famous score so it makes sense why it's been kept under wraps. Expect it to find its way online at some point in the future, though.

As for the score itself, it's an epic and sweeping affair which definitely feels like a good fit for the Justice League. These tracks also provide the themes for heroes like Aquaman, the Flash, and Cyborg, not to mention Steppenwolf and Atlantis. However, the titles of each do reveal some potential spoilers, so you may want to be at least a little cautious when you click below to check all of the tracks out.

Have it on Spotify right now, initial thoughts:

A) I'm actually quite liking it, SUPER dynamic in comparison to the more subtle/drawn out Zimmer/Junkie XL stuff
B) Not as good as Zimmer's MoS, but WAY better than BvS (found it kinda boring honestly?)
C) It's hilarious HOW many themes Elfman has reused (The Amazon Mother Box LITERALLY begins with the 2003 Hulk theme)
D) The Final Battle full-on has the classic Superman & Batman themes
E) The Final Battle ALSO HAS HIS AGE OF ULTRON THEME. LIKE NOT EVEN IN A SMALL WAY. WHAT.

@SeanMPC - The Age of Ultron score is very noticeably littered throughout after the first minute or so. Like how Giacchino used his Star Trek score for Doctor Strange.

@SeanMPC - I am big Elfman man, always have been (have the whole Oingo Boingo discography) but his movie scores are becoming super repetitive. Did the soundtrack sound good? Yea, but I also feel like I've heard them all before in 20 other films.

@BatesMT - Exactly, I hoped bringing Elfman in would allow him to create something a bit more memorable. Instead we got some forced in 10 second snippets of the classic themes that don't sound like they were supposed to be there..

@SeanMPC - Damn, yeah the '89 Batman isn't even subtle, it's right there in your face! I'm curious to what scene that's for. So far, I don't mind the soundtrack. Waiting on the Supes theme to appear...

The issue today is filmmakers using temp tracks in editing, not the actual composers. Here are some examples of that.
