@tmp3 - TBH this is the main problem with the DCEU films IMO. Even the best ones have TOO MUCH in them, which end up hurting the main plotline.

@rebellion - Yeah agree with the barf 😂 I’m excited for the Snyder Cut and I like Snyder’s films more than I dislike them but this is one of his bad ideas along with one’s like “Superman had to die for Batman to create the league”, the name Martha being the thing to unite Batman and Superman, Jonathan Kent dying in a tornado instead of a heartattack, etc. Hope it’s great though.

@rebellion -
This literally happened in the DCAU everyone loves so much. Let's not act like this idea suddenly blasphemy just because Snyder's name is attached to it.

@Darkknight2149 - not everyone, and just cuz it happened there, doesnt mean it automatically makes sense to put it on the big screen too.

@rebellion -
Find me one self-respecting DC Comics fan that doesn't salivate over Batman: The Animated Series and the subsequent shared universe. I'll wait.

The Batman/Superman Movie: World's Finest (seen above) is acclaimed by fans despite having that romance, so I don't see how it's magically a problem here.

@Darkknight2149 - It's not blasphemy. It's just a romance. It doesn't mean that these 2 ideas have the same context or work.

@Darkknight2149 - They may think that's a good movie and that makes sense as a part of the story and context in it. While thinking this doesn't.

@Darkknight2149 - LOL this isn't something I think about every day or something, but this is an opportunity to say as a DCAU fan, I was never a huge fan of the Bruce/Lois romance or that 3 parter/DTV movie in general.

It wasn't bad but it was also kind of bland outside of some nice moments like Bruce with the binoculars. It's kinda what I would've expected a BvS by anyone other than Snyder: good action beats, Joker teaming up with Luthor, some character moments and nice touches, but ultimately just an excuse to get the two characters together and doesn't really have anything to say about either.

The reason I am so down here is that the SECOND crossover, Knight Time, where Batman goes missing and Superman has to impersonate him to the Gotham underworld while looking for Bruce, IS brilliant and one of the best episodes of the whole DCAU. Where as World's Finest was just showing the two meet, this was actually a unique and original idea for a crossover (really more of a Superman/Robin team up!) that perfectly showed off both characters and what each is better at than the other.

@Darkknight2149 - *meant to put at the end there that Knight Time does a fabulous job showing off Batman and who he is, even when not on screen!
