Newly Discovered JUSTICE LEAGUE Concept Art Gives Us Our Best Look Yet At The DCEU's First Green Lantern

A Reddit user recently came across some new concept art of the Green Lantern which featured in the opening battle sequence of Justice League, allowing us our best look yet at the DCEU's first Lantern.

Though we don’t get a clear look at the character in the film; many fans speculated that the Green Lantern who cameoed in Justice League's opening battle sequence was Yalan Gur - who was introduced in the '90s as a means of explaining the Golden Age Green Lantern's weakness to wood, and has never been a prominent character in the comics.

Some newly discovered concept art, found by Reddit user Mephistopheles4Mirth, confirms the speculation that the character is indeed Yalan Gur and provides us with our best look at him yet.

Though the design looks slightly different from the final product, the signature attributes from the comic are all there. It may give us a hint at how some of the Lantern's mechanics function within the DC Extended Universe and its Green Lantern Corps film in particular.

The image was found on the 'WB Movies All Access app' and along with it came a description of the character:

The Green Lantern in this scene is Yalan Gur, who defended Earth and Sector 2814 in the 10th Century.

Looks cool, but quite frankly I don't think Justice League earned the right to use the Green Lanterns.

If they were involved in the war against Stephenwolf 5000 years ago, why didn't they just put the Motherbox on Oa for safekeeping instead of just putting it in a whole where a fox could have dug it up?

I wish Yalan Gur had more than 5 seconds of screentime. CGI was questionable on his suit and his weapon(s).
