It seems Warner Bros. is looking to move away from Zack Snyder's darker take on the DC Films Universe and that's seemingly begun by brightening up the team's costumes on the back cover of the Blu-ray...

Warner Bros. enlisted Joss Whedon to lighten up Justice League (in terms of tone) and while that backfired when critics tore into the DC Comics adaptation for it being such a mess, it now appears as if the studio is looking to literally brighten up the movie as well! The DC Films Universe has always been darker in colour because of the aesthetic preferred by Zack Snyder, but now the character's costumes - and Wonder Woman in particular - have been given a brighter and more colorful makeover!

Fans have frequently pointed out how much more colourful the world of The Avengers is compared to that of the Justice League and it's possible Warner Bros. is now trying to give people the impression that this movie provides a similar sort of feel. In fairness, though, the team's costumes were significantly brightened up for the posters and promo images used for the DC superhero ensemble's theatrical release.

It's a rather strange move by the studio, but one you can sort of understand. However, considering the fact they probably haven't spent money on improving Superman's mouth for Justice League's home video release, don't expect the film itself to look any brighter!

What do you guys think of this colourful Blu-ray back cover? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section down below.

One of the better improvements imo. Save the dark filter for the heroes that need it most, like Batman.

@ANewPope - still doesn't make the movie better, or make me want to buy it.
