In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we learned that Diana Prince went into hiding after the events of Wonder Woman and has since become something of a myth. However, the actress recently revealed that Justice League will retcon that by revealing that she has actually been out there helping the world as opposed to staying in hiding and essentially giving up on the world after Steve Trevor's death.
That's a more optimistic take on the Amazon warrior which fits in better with what Warner Bros. is currently doing with its DC Films Universe and Gadot has now elaborated on her recent comments.
"What is clear that is whether or not Wonder Woman was out there or incognito, she was always very involved, and she was always very active in man’s world," the actress told reporters this weekend when asked whether or not Diana might have played a role in World War II or the Cold War. "And she was always acting to save and to help and to better the world. That’s all I can tell you."
It's unclear if Wonder Woman 2 will take place in the past or present but with a release date set for December 13th, 2019, we'll hopefully find out sooner rather than later. What do you guys think?
