Willem Dafoe Talks AQUAMAN And JUSTICE LEAGUE And Drops Some Interesting New Details About Vulko
Willem Dafoe talks here about how Vulko differs to Arthur Curry in the world of Atlantis and reveals that his costume doesn't really resemble the one seen on that recently released toy. Read on for more!
Willem Dafoe is no stranger to the world of superhero movies after playing the Green Goblin in Spider-Man and he's set to return to the comic book realm with a starring role in both Justice League and Aquaman. An official image of the actor suited up as Atlantean advisor Vulko has not been revealed but Dafoe has warned fans that they shouldn't pay too much attention to those recent toy images.
"The day that they show the shot of the character will accomplish more than I can by talking about it now. I like the look very much, and know they released a toy recently. But it doesn't look so much what I look like [in the film]." That's definitely food for thought but probably something we should have seen coming due to the fact most didn't even realise that toy was Vulko due to it being so stylised.
As for what Vulko will be getting up to in the DC Comics movies, Dafoe wouldn't reveal much but did say this. "Vulko is 100% Atlantean. So that's different, because [Aquaman] is half-Atlantean and half-human. So they're quite different and I'm capable of being outside of the water, but mostly it's underwater. And I'm a guy that's been around for a while. I have a kind of... let's call it an armor. It's a good look, I like it a lot." Sounds awesome! With any luck, more details will be revealed shortly
