McFarlane Toys has yet to unveil its full range of action figures based on the heroes and villains of Zack Snyder's Justice League, but we do have a first look at the Darkseid figure thanks to a new promo photo.

We've had a couple of teasing glimpses of the villain already, but this arguably gives us our best look yet at the overall character design for this take on the tyrannical rule of Apokolips, while also confirming that, yes, his armor will be blue.

Darkseid was originally supposed to appear in the theatrical version of Justice League before Snyder left the project, so fans of the iconic DC Comics villain are anxiously anticipating his feature debut in the upcoming director's cut.

In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes.

Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.

The "Snyder Cut" will be with us on March 18. Are you planning to check it out when it hits HBO Max?

Exactly. McFarlane toys is probably the best DC news I've heard in a while. Todd took his attention to detail and put it in the figures. I expect greatness.

So the suit is supposed to have colour but he has removed it all in the movie?

@RageDriver2401 - "Color is for children and sissies" -Snyder, probably

@RageDriver2401 - who cares about color? He's wearing WW's costume, the sleeveless top, battle skirt and gauntlets... maybe he'll wear golden wings for 5 seconds. This is a powerful alien and he's dressed like a ancient human gladiator. Snyder's design choices have been awful. He really sucks at everything.

I just keep picturing him and Thanos having a couple beers discussing and comparing notes on their similar plans on how to end/rule over both their respective universes. 🤣

@Jaykay21 - “you know I really came out first right?” “Sure buddy, and we’re all proud o ya, personally I knew all along” “doggone right. Wait... no! That’s not what I meant!”

@TheWalkingCuban - haha I think they should make a special! that or i'm hoping some fan with alot of time on their hands will make youtube vid, chopping up the footage after ZS'sJL is released, with some funky voice over, like how that "I'm the Juggernaut Bitch" became a thing.

@Jaykay21 - hopefully a bunch of nerds will do exactly that

@Blergh - Thats what will set Thanos (Josh Brolin) apart from Darkseid (some computer program).

@PerrinNation1 - He is portrayed by Ray Porter.

@davidcub - Ok...cool.

Is Ray Porter a good actor? Because thats the issue, isn’t it? Will this movie exploit Ray Porter’s ability to come through the CGI and BE a fully fleshed out character? Time will tell.

So the movie is rated R. That means the toys are for?

@CAPTAINPINKEYE - Are you seriously asking this question? You think any of the toys McFarlane makes are for 9 year old to mash together on the playground?

lordSTALE - 3/5/2021, 6:37 AM
@BackwardGalaxy - They literally make Fortnite figures that you can buy for $20, so yes 🤷🏽‍♂️

@CAPTAINPINKEYE - I had a Comando and Rambo action figures in the 1980s. Nothing bad happened. Also do kids not see R movies anymore? When I was growing up every kid saw Rambo and Friday the 13th and Die Hard and Police Academy 1. Have things changed?
Matador
Matador - 3/5/2021, 8:14 AM
@BackwardGalaxy - Too be fair they ain't cheap so depends on the parent if they want to buy expensive toys to there kids.

And yes I have ran into tons of cheap skate parents telling a 4/5 year old how they need to save. WTF a kid just needs to be a kid his not going to be a financial manager at that age.

@CAPTAINPINKEYE - at this point some toy companies are catering more and more to collectors. For example, you wouldn't buy a hot toy for a kid to play with. You'd buy it to put in a fancy display case.
