Zack Snyder has shared another 60-second teaser for his upcoming director's cut of Justice League, giving us an awesome new look at Henry Cavill taking flight as the resurrected Superman.

Getting to see this original, darker take on the Man of Steel in action is one of the most highly-anticipated aspects of the "Snyder Cut" for many fans. While Cavill's more classic portrayal of the iconic DC Comics hero was well received in the theatrical version of the movie, it was impossible to take the character seriously with that ridiculous CGI mouth.

This promo takes us back to Superman's DCEU debut in Man of Steel, before we see Cavill's Last Son of Krypton emerge from the Kryptonian ship in his black costume and blast into the sky.

In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes.

Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.

The "Snyder Cut" will be with us on March 18. Are you planning to check it out when it hits HBO Max?

Pretty cool

I'm not feeling the 4:3, in some shots it's def cropped and seems more an afterthought than anything else.
The suit looks great, despite my aversions to the recolouring it does it's job.

We'll see in a few days

@Blergh - I still don't really get the 4:3, was this because of imax?

@Itwasme - yes

@Itwasme - snyder said because of the various flying elements... leaping into the air and flying vertically ... he didn't think a long landscape shot could do it justice.

It would be so cool to see him ascend into space to fully recharge! beautiful references to Zod and Faora!

@GilGalad - strange that snyder made a point out of him needing the black suit to recharge and yet he walks through a hall of different kinds of suits including the classic and nothing seems to be pointing out he specifically needs the black one... he seems quite able at that point and doesn't look like he needs to recharge.

@JonC - we will have to wait to see if any mention is made of the use of the black suit. 🤘🏼

I get the black suit is a necessity for Superman being brought back to life - so his cells can drink the suns radiation easier and replenish his powers fully.

But I really hope we get a final shot of Henry in the blue suit at least one more time, considering this could be his last time as Supes...

@Se4M4NSt4ine - We don't even know if the black suit has that function in the movie. For all we know it's just because "it looked cool", Snyder's mantra.

@Roodi @Se4M4NSt4ine - It is just to look cool. He is coloring the original suit black with CGI for the Snyder Cut just cuz he can. WB never made a real black suit nor was it ever in the script. I wouldn't be surprised if he colors Aquaman's suit orange too even though Aquaman is supposed to get the orange suit after JL....

@Se4M4NSt4ine - actually the final shot with Supes from Josstice League was Snyder, so we will get to see the blue and red suit

@LameLuka - because he’s only recoloring it now. This movie could end on the same shot, but with the recolored black suit.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - Wait lol I never understood this. A black suit would absorb more of the radiation, and less would be emitted back out. The only thing that happens would be the black suit molecules jiggle around a little faster as the absorbed energy is now little kinetic oscillations of the atoms' constituents.

Now a white suit on the other hand, would reflect more light, and because the angle of reflected light on a rough surface like a fabric might sometimes be back in toward the wearer I think that would make more sense.

But in all, Superman should be wearing a transparent suit. Or just flying around in boxers.

But really, Superman shouldn't get that kind of power from the sun because then he'd have about as much energy as your average shrub based on his surface.

And really it's just a magical fictional character and I don't know why I'm still typing

@teefurtree - if he just got his butt off earth and went a little deeper into space i think he would recharge just fine wearing anything.

Many have already said this, but I feel like Cavill could have pulled Clark off with good writing and direction. I don't have an issue with moving on to a different actor or heck even a different Superman, but I will always think of what it could have been.
