ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP Star Jesse Eisenberg Addresses His Future As Lex Luthor In The DCEU - EXCLUSIVE
We recently caught up with Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson to talk all things Zombieland: Double Tap, and they both addressed their respective futures as the DCEU's Lex Luthor and Venom's Carnage...
Zombieland: Double Tap arrives in cinemas this Friday, and while we'll be sharing our review with you then, rest assured that the movie is a worthy sequel to the classic first instalment.
To mark Double Tap's release, we recently had the opportunity to talk to stars Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg. Now, it goes without saying that we had to ask them about their respective superhero movie roles and it sounds like the latter has accepted that he won't be returning to the DC Extended Universe as Lex Luthor after last being seen in Justice League's post-credits scene.
As you can see by heading to the 4:00 mark in the video below, while Harrelson is confident that he'll be back as Carnage after first appearing in Venom, Eisenberg most definitely is not.
"Yes," Harrelson responded when asked if there's anything he could tell us about what comes next for the classic Spider-Man villain. "My character, Carnage..." It was then that Eisenberg interrupted to shed some light on his future, or lack thereof, as Superman's greatest foe. "Different venues. I will say, quite confidently, different venues. His will be, like, kind of a movie that people go to and mine will be in my living room that people occasionally go to but mostly one at a time."
Alas, it sounds like Eisenberg's time as Lex is well and truly over, and while this response was in jest, it's clear the actor doesn't believe he'll get to play him on the big again screen any time soon.
