Denzel Washington is widely regarded as one of the greatest actors working today, so it's more than a little surprising that none of the major comic book movie movie studios have ever approached him about playing a superhero.

Over the years there have been several rumors linking Washington to high-profile characters such as Lex Luthor and Green Lantern, but during an interview with JOE.ie to promote The Equalizer 2, the Academy Award-winner maintains that he's never been offered a role in a Marvel or DC project - although he does appear to start another sentence, before deciding on "we’ll see what happens. Never say never" instead.
