In an interview with BBC, Kevin Feige was asked about the potential for the Muslim hero, Ms. Marvel, to appear in the MCU. Although he couldn’t say much as to when and how she’d appear, he did confirm that her live-action debut is “in the works.”

In the interview, Feige explains that the studio is currently working on Captain Marvel, which is filming in California and that plans to introduce Kamala are underway — after Carol’s debut. “Captain Marvel‘s shooting right now with Brie Larson,” he said. “Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works. We have plans for that once we introduce Captain Marvel.”

It will be interesting to see how Kamala is introduced, Marvel has yet to tackle the Inhuman storylines in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the recently cancelled Inhumans. However, it’s entirely possible Marvel Studios can start fresh with its own Inhumans lore.

Ms. Marvel can be seen in Marvel Rising, a new animated feature from Marvel Television. Although an official release date has yet to be announced, it’s expected to debut later this year.

This really excites me. More from the diversity aspect of it

She will likely be one of the young / new avengers a few years down the line when we have Nova and Miles spiderman in the mix.

@MrCamw1 - It’s more like shape shifting than just stretching. She can also get larger a la Giant Man but not necessarily to the same degree.
