Kevin Feige Talks About Why Marvel Has Expanded Their Number Of Films A Year

It feels like every year, Marvel gives us a full course dinner of movies. This year alone we've had three. That's counting Black Panther, Infinity War and the upcoming Ant-Man sequel. Feige says this...

Marvel is known for keeping their fans occupied and entertained through their films. So it's really nice to have them releasing three movies a year now, which may even expand more one day. Until then, Marvel has plenty of heroes to play with, so here's what Kevin Feige has to say on the matter. He told CinemaBlend...

"It's one of the reasons we've expanded to three films a year, is so that we could do the sequels to films that people have responded to -- because we love to make continuing stories with characters people have responded to -- but also keep doing the stuff that nobody's ever heard of, and people go, 'Why are you doing that?' That's fun.

He continues to say, "And that's what Phase One was built on, Phase Two was built on, Phase Three was built on, is having that... Whenever we announce the next year, two years, three years, five years, whatever we're going to announce, there will be plenty of those that, maybe people in the know like yourself will know what they are, but the world at large will go, 'What is it? Why are they doing that?' That's exciting, for sure."

It's hard to believe Marvel has been creating this universe for ten years now. With the success that they're repeatedly making, it only makes sense their film quantity gets bigger.

Feige has already confirmed The Eternals will be getting their own movie, as well as Doctor Strange will be receiving a sequel. Black Widow will apparently have her chance to shine in a solo film too, so expect a lot more Marvel films heading into theaters.
