Filming has officially commenced on Sony's upcoming Men in Black spinoff and thanks to Just Jared, we have our first look at the eagerly-awaited film as Chris Hemsworth suits up and gets ready to faceoff with all kinds of intergalactic evildoers.

Hemsworth will headline the sequel/reboot alongside his Thor: Ragnarok co-star Tessa Thompson. The dynamic duo will be joined by an all-star cast that will also reportedly feature Liam Neeson (Widows), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), and Rafe Spall (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom).

F. Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious) will direct with a script from Iron Man scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. Plot details remain under lock-and-key for now, but unlike the previous trilogy, the new film will predominantly take place in the United Kingdom with the heroes working for the U.K. branch of the top-secret government organization.

The currently untitled Men in Black spinoff is expected to hit theaters on June 14, 2019.

I didn’t particularly like Men in Black 2 or 3 but I am slowly becoming very onboard with this movie. The more I see and hear they more I like

Looking forward to this, they have a great cast and a great director.

@JosephCronos92 - I wonder if this will exist within the same continuity as the original trilogy.

@SonOfAGif - Yeah that's what i've been wondering too, i wouldn't be mad if they do as well if they don't, but i would certainly find so damn cool if Agent K and Agent J are treated as legends or myths in the agency. Maybe even having some aliens talking a bit about them and how they helped or got them into trouble lol, i honestly love these characters, Frank, the weird cockroach aliens, Agent Z etc. I still have the first one as my whole time favorite, it'd be great to have them back but i'll understand if they don't. The new cast is simply appealing enough to me along with the director.

Clean-shaven Chris looks weird.

@Nebula - I think he actually looks more like Thor without the beard than with it. Thor has always had these really pronounced smile lines that Chris also happens to have.

Don't think I've even watched the third MIB movie, at least not in its entirety, and I basically forgot everything about the second. But this I might very well watch in the theater. Good job on the casting front, Sony!

@BlackBeltJones - Nobody can make that CGI look good. Not even Will Smith.

Any chance they get Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to Cameo?
