More teen vampire shite. What happened to the days when vampires were scary and less romantic.

Lets hope Jonathan Rhys Meyers makes a better Dracula than he did Elvis.

I will watch this on only one condition: Dracula kills the everliving [frick] out of people, and does it on a regular basis. He's not whiny, he's not whingy, he doesn't brood to contemporary pop songs. He's Vlad the Impaler, for [frick]'s sake.

Seriously, CW. If you make this "Ian Somerhalder's character from Vampire Diaries: the Show", I will...I will...well, [frick], I guess I'll just become slightly more embittered with modern media and sneer at you. But hopefully karma will, in that case, redress what I cannot.

She's hot but her acting was meh in Arrow, so hopefully she can step it up a little in this series. Meyers is a pretty good actor according to Tudors anyway ( which every one should check out because Cavill pretty good on that show too) so I have hope for Dracula hopefully the curse of being murderous vampire on tv show doesn't strike Dracula too, it happened to Spike in the later seasons of Buffy, Happened to Damon Salvatore after the first season of TVD. Can we please have a vampire that just kills people for shits and giggles.

I don't know wtf that 'plot' and those character descriptions are supposed to be but it sure as hell isn't Dracula. In fact there is absolutely nothing in that summary, other than the character names and the time period, that bears even a passing resemblance to to the original story. There was NO love story -or even attraction- between Dracula and Mina, no reincarnation, no long-lost love, no charming, attractive Drac...ugh. Pandering to the lowest common denominator...this is an insult to my intelligence.

I'm excited for this show. Daniel Knauf, who created HBO's Carnivale, will be the showrunner. Carnivale was one of my favorite shows from the last decade. Looking forward to seeing what he does with this project.
