THE MUMMY 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, & Digital HD Release Date Announced & Cover Art Unveiled

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced the upcoming 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray release date for Tom Cruise's The Mummy. We also have full details on the bonus content. Come take a look!

With Comic-Con just around the corner, we've had a lot of big Blu-ray announcements this week. First, Walt Disney Home Entertainment announced the release dates for both Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, then it was Fox Home Entertainment with the announcement of SDCC-Exclusive vinyl editions for five of their films, including Logan & Deadpool, and now, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the home video release date for their Dark Universe launching pad The Mummy.

The Tom Cruise-led film will arrive on Digital HD on August 22, followed by a 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on September 12.

While a domestic disappointment, The Mummy was able to find an international audience and to date, has grossed over $385.49 million worldwide, which should be a decent enough start for the Dark Universe. However, it does put a lot of added pressure on the next installment, Bill Condon's Bride of Frankenstein, which is due out February 15, 2019.

Check out the full list of special features, including several deleted scenes and tons of behind-the-scenes featurettes, below:
