The latest comic book adaptation began filming in New Orleans, LA last week; here are a few pictures of a scene shot today.

Red is a film adaptation of the comic book mini-series published between 2003 and 2004 and created by writer Warren Ellis and artist Cully Hamner.

It follows the story of Frank Moses (Bruce Willis), a former black-ops CIA agent who is now living a quiet, secluded life. That is, until the day a hi-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him. With his identity compromised and the life of the woman he cares for, Sarah (Mary-Louis Parker), endangered, Frank reassembles his old team (Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren) in a last ditch effort to survive.

The film also stars Ernest Borgnine, Brian Cox, Richard Dreyfus, John Malkovich, Julian McMahon, Karl Urban and James Remar.

After two months of production in Toronto, Canada, the cast and crew moved to New Orleans, LA. Here are a few pictures of today's filming in the French Quarter courtesy of SCENE Louisiana:
