In a crowded fall blockbuster slate, Peter Jackson and co. have enough confidence to deliver a brand new intellectual property to the fold. Going head to head with the likes of Aquaman, Bumblebee and Mary Poppins, Mortal Engines has a lot to overcome if it wants to be succesful. So far, the trailers have been epic, but will they add up to a quality porduct?

The Christian Rivers direced fantasy film has just picked up a high profile talent for behind the scenes. This guy's recut and rescored JL scenes are pretty dope and make them more watchable.

@DCFilmJunkie - Huh. Hans Zimmer's score for Man of Steel's just reused as well as a clip or two in that first video

@DCFilmJunkie - Ah. Fan Edit, of course. I had a different impression, partly as a result of not reading XD

@DCFilmJunkie - Part 1 wasn't bad. The music works for Batman, but did you notice how in part 2 when Superman showed up, the music, though giving off a sort of "epicness", was still mostly somber? Superman's here! But let's have a sound that denotes eternal battle emphasizing endless struggle and destruction.. It doesn't work, guys. It should be uplifting.

Still need to be sold on this film. Looks epic, but the trailers are missing something...

I'll still see it, even though the trailers haven't impressed me. Here's to hoping it isn't mindless and campy lol

Only reason I kinda keep an eye on this is because of Robert Sheehan. Gotta support my beloved Misfits cast members.

I strongly hated their score for Man of Steel, not because it wasn't good movie music, but because it added to, I'm going to say it again, the somber tone of what was supposed to be the new beginning for Superman to fix all the previous wrongs. I came out of that movie so depressed, those who loved it will never understand, but I contend they don't understand Superman, and that's why we'll disagree.
