Christopher Nolan Talks Writing The INTERSTELLAR Script, The Film's Score, More

In a recent interview with the Metro, Christopher Nolan, the man who directed the Dark Knight Trilogy, talked about what he did before he actually started working on the script for Interstellar. Hit the jump to check it out!

Christopher Nolan, the 44 year old director who has written and/or directed many great films such as, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel, Inception and many more, sat down with the Metro and talked about the newest film he's directed, Interstellar. Below, you can read what Nolan had to say about what he did before he even started to write the actual script for the film. He also talked about him and Hans Zimmer's conversation. Check it out!

"Before I actually started working on the script, I wrote out a page of what I considered to be the heart of the story — the relationships, the idea of a father having to leave his children — and I gave it to Hans and said, 'Work on that for a day, give me what you've got at the end of the day and that will be the seed to grow the score from. And indeed, the finished score came from that particular creative act. And that, I think, is just an illustration of the approach we all tried to take in terms of keeping this about the humanity and using the exploration of the universe as really a lens through which to view ourselves as human beings."

Hans Zimmer is a man whose won countless awards and scored many films (The Dark Knight , Inception, 12 Years a Slave, The Lion King, Etc.) and now he takes on the responsibility to compose the music for Nolan's newest hit, Interstellar. How did he do with this film's music? That's up for you to decide. Interstellar stars Matthew McConaughey, Ellen Burstyn and Anne Hathaway (who portrayed Black Cat in Nolan's Batman Trilogy) and it is in theaters now.
