This sounds awesome.
For anyone who has HBO Now, this service sounds like a steal (if Variety is to be believed) since you're getting all of HBO Now ($15) and for an extra $1-2 you're getting all of WB's library + Cinemax + a big budget Dune show with episodes directed by Denis Villeneuve. There's also the likely scenario it has everything from DCU, TBS and Adult Swim too, but that's just speculation on my part.

@tmp3 - It does feel like a steal if you are already getting HBO but I don’t know when you just straight compare 17 dollars to 7 dollars for Disney+ if you are looking to just sign up for one. But more stuff like this sure makes Warner looking more appealing than it did before.

This sounds really cool but these streaming services are getting out of hand. Goddamn.

Warner charing 16- 17 bucks for this. [frick] all that.

@BlackBeltJones - HBO Now is $15 and this has everything there and a lot more
GhostDog

@tmp3 - thats a crazy amount as well.

We are about to see the saturation point of these early days of streaming services. Too many are springing up and there are going to be casualties before long. Once the dust has settled, studios will probably start forming corporations and deliver combined content to attract viewers.

@BlackBeltJones - Yeah, maybe. I already have HBO Now, so it's just $2 more for this WB Streaming thing which isn't that much more. I'll get Disney+ eventually but a bulk of their content isn't gonna be available until 2020; whereas HBO produces the best shit on TV consistently. Without HBO, Warner's streaming would be toast imo.

Does Denis Villeneuve have the best run of films for a director working today?
Incendies - Amazing
Prisoners - Great
Enemy - Great
Sicario - Masterpiece
Arrival - Masterpiece
Blade Runner 2049 - Masterpiece
Dune - Masterpiece?

@tmp3 - I should watch his other stuff. I loved Arrival.

@DnA - More people should have seen Blade Runner 2049

@tmp3 - I actually saw Arrival in the theatre but I didn't want to see 2049 because I'd never watched the original BR (which I thought wasn't great after seeing it). 2049 was really good though. Great film.

@DnA - Yeah, biggest thing 2049 had going against it was that it was a sequel to an old film that not that many people in the general audience knew about :/

@DnA - Arrival is his weakest....which says a lot.

I didn't like it much but its by no means bad.

BR 2049 is a masterpiece tho. Easily one of the gr3at films of this century

@DnA @tmp3

Prisoners is one of the best thrillers of the 2010s. The movie is gripping.

@tmp3 - That and the fact it's 2 hours 40 minutes.

Blew my mind seeing 2049 first time, it's like an indie film on a blockbuster budget. Magnificent.

I really need to read those Dune books because I'm intrigued by a lot of stuff I do know. I'll be checking this too.

@DnA - They're pretty good reads.

I knew it was good when I kept going back to het to the next page or chapter like I would race to get back to a good episode of a show I was binging.

@BlackBeltJones - That sounds good.

OT but have you seen Shadow? That has easily become one of my favourite movies this year.

Denis is doing his part and delivering Sci-Fi/Sci-Fantasy for Adults.

Now we adults need to answer his call!

In summation...all I hear when the word DUNE is mentioned in the 84 Soundtrack!

With Denis Villeneuve leading this, I believe this will be the Space Opera to end all Space Operas.

Well that sounds awesome. Makes me more excited for the movie and a lot more excited for the potential of the streaming service. More stuff like this please.
