Director Shane Black has released the first official image from his Predator movie, as production kicks off on the sci-fi action flick today.

The pic feature principal cast members Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown and Jacob Tremblay, as well as Black himself. As you can seem the ensemble is fully kitted-out and ready to kick some alien ass.

In addition, Black confirmed that this would be a full-blooded, R-rated sequel via a Tweet which you can also check out below.

And, just to be clear... PG-13 is for pussies. Spines bleed... a lot.

The Predator is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 9, 2018.

I can see them killing everyone except the woman and the boy - in order to parody the Alien franchise with Ripley and Newt.

Alternatively, it'll be everyone shown with a weapon, leaving the guy on the left and the boy.

Sterling K. Brown is gonna be a busy man. Maybe he doesn't have a big role in Black Panther but that's currently filming as is this. Maybe he's already done filming on BP?

If they cast a bunch of 'nobodies' then we have less of an idea who will survive.

If they cast a famous actor, chances are they'll want them to survive the movie so they can stay on-screen OR they would kill them off at the start because of budget.

@Scarilian - Yeah...but do these people look like they would actually have any chance to survive ? Keegan-Michael Key doesn't really have a "highly trained military personnel" look...the original cast looked like a bunch of guys who could have ripped apart that wild boar with their bare hands.
