Netflix shocked the entertainment world last year, during Super Bowl LII, when they made an unprecedented move and announced plans to debut one of their biggest and most hotly awaited releases of the year, the J.J. Abrams-produced sci-fi/horror feature, The Cloverfield Paradox, immediately after the game.

The sequel to 2008's Cloverfield and 2016's 10 Cloverfield Lane expanded the universe in an unexpected manner as it took the action away from Earth and introduced an international group of astronauts, who, after utilizing a particle accelerator to try and solve Earth's energy crisis, find themselves trapped in an alternate dimension and in a race against the clock to find their way back home before it's too late.

As we cross the film's one-year anniversary, Paramount Home Media Distribution has officially released The Cloverfield Paradox on Blu-ray with never-before-seen special features that will take fans behind-the-scenes into the making of the sequel.

Paramount has also been more than kind enough to grant us an exclusive opportunity to give away THREE copies of the film on Blu-ray & DVD. Get all the details after the press release:

I enjoyed the movie plenty. It was certainly forced into the Cloverfield "universe" but I liked it more than not. The movie was kind of like Event Horizon super-light; but Chris O'Dowd was a sure highlight.

@MosquitoFarmer - Chris O'Dowd is hilarious. If you haven't seen it before, you should check out his short-lived HBO show, Family Tree:

It was made by This is Spinal Tap creator and comedian, Christopher Guest.

@L0RDbuckethead - Yeah, I've seen it. I'm a huge Christopher Guest fan. O'Dowd was also in Guest's latest movie Mascots which came out on Nexflix a couple of years ago. And, agreed, O'Dowd is funny as hell.

My fave moment out of all of them is when you see Clovie come up from the clouds at the end of Paradox cause it's the moment that REALLY connects the films. Can't wait for that direct follow up to Cloverfield that JJ mentioned lasted year. Hope we hear more soon.

Cloverfield: My favorite moment would have to be the final scene where Rob and Beth confront the camera "confessing"/providing their side of what's going on as the military commences the "Hammerdown" protocol. Two things that are amazing in this one scene alone; Rob knows they are going to die but he wants to give the allusion to Beth that there's still "hope"/reassures her that everything will be fine AND as the bombing commences, if you listen closely, you can hear the blood curdling screams from the Clover monster.

I loved the build of anticipation in the first film. I intentionally did NOT follow any spoilers or photo leaks so I could enjoy this to the level I did.

Favorite moment in the Cloverfield films is in the first movie, when they are in the helicopter looking down, and the monster jumps up at them. Best movie in the series, best moment in that movie!

My favorite part is in the first film, when they're in the electronics store, and everyone is frozen, watching the television, and there's this first quick-spanning shot of the monster on the news, from a helicopter above, and it really resembles the way a breaking news story would look, giving it a bit of a surreal tone. The following shot of those nasty spider-like creatures falling off only multiples the freakiness of the whole situation.
