While it's a long ways until June 2021, Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard recently shared a small, but intriguing update about her upcoming threequel, which could have huge implications.

Following the shocking events of J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, dinosaurs have finally escaped the island and are now, once again, free to roam the Earth. This opens the door to limitless possibilities, and sets the stage for an epic conclusion in the forthcoming Jurassic World 3

The upcoming threequel will see Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) return to the director's chair, with a script he co-wrote with Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim: Uprising), and is also expected to see both Chris Pratt (Avengers: Endgame) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Rocketman) reprise their roles as Owen and Claire, respectively.

Considering production is slated to begin early next year, details on the eagerly-awaited sixth chapter in the Jurassic saga have been virtually nonexistent, but thanks to MTV News, who recently caught up with Bryce Dallas Howard at the UK Premiere for Rocketman, we may have just received a jaw-dropping detail about some of the characters that could appear in Jurassic World 3.

When pressed on whether she was excited to be potentially sharing screen space with the original Jurassic Park trio of Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant), Laura Dern (Dr. Ellie Satler), and Jeff Goldblum (Dr. Ian Malcolm), Howard offered a very enthusiastic, albeit relatively coy, response to the prospect of their return. She does stop short of giving any sort of official confirmation, but then again, her face also doesn't deny the possibility that the three Jurassic icons might return for the next chapter in the franchise.

There were rumours that Trevorrow didn't like Lucasfilm's decision to kill of Luke, and that was one of the sources of conflict for Ep IX. Unsure how true they are, but him doing the exact opposite for these films (new cast in film 1, some old cast members in film 2 and all of them back in film 3) certainly makes it seem more believable.
That said, I think the most I've seen from any of these are 50 minutes of Jurassic World on a plane a few years ago, so maybe I'm way off the mark.

Not counting the original Jurassic Park that is, I love that film.

@tmp3 - I read similar, that his script for IX centered heavily on Luke and Leia, maybe ending with Luke's death, but importantly, saving that for the end of this new trilogy. Once Rian's story took shape, I think he didn't compromise and walked away. I remember reading something like that. If true it's just more evidence they had no cohesive plans when churning out a new trilogy made by 3 different directors all putting forward separate, conflicting ideas.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - Yeah, that's what I read too. Certainly makes more sense than "Disney saw book of henry and fired Treevorrow!" as if they didn't just put a super inconsistent director in charge of Solo after firing two creative ones.

Yeah let's bring them back, and waste them like Dr. Malcolm in Fallen Kingdom.. I used to think Lost World was bad but they've really shit the bed in the most recent years, hell even JP3 is better than most of JW and all of FK 🤷‍♂️

@bobevanz - I lowkey enjoy the hell out of The Lost World. I always find myself stopping and watching it when it's on TV.

I think it's the cast that does it for me.

Honestly, Hollywood has done so much damage to beloved franchises that I don't even care about IP's that I loved and watched growing up,

Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Terminator, Aliens, Predator and even DC Films. SO many beautiful and wonderful memories have been ruined by constant shifting goalposts, illogical creative arcs and most of all just seldom doing anything to move the narrative forward.

And to some degree, when I read reports of douchebag producers and studio big-shots who were only interested in exploiting the careers of actresses/actors, I see that only money was the main motive for these people. They don't care about any of those aforementioned memories that I and millions have with these franchise and many more.

@DwightKGroot - THIS. I'm looking forward, to this one especially, but these trilogies being wrapped up. The damage will have been done and they'll be forced to sit for awhile once the dust settles. This trend is starting to suck and really damage these brands to the point where people are sick of seeing mediocre half baked films with a familiar name stamped on em. If the new Terminator fails, I don't want to see it touched for another 10 years. And they'll deserve it.

the latest installment felt so forced :/

@knocturnalzen10 - It felt like two different movies, tbh. I loved the second half "horror" part of it, but it did not mesh well with the first half of the film.

Interesting premise, bad execution (much like JP3)

@L0RDbuckethead - we said , JP3 was like Dracula 2000 great thought process for a film and not translated well :( i actually really enjoyed the first one of this series for what it was .....

@knocturnalzen10 - Yeah I definitely enjoy Jurassic World. Here's how I'd rank them:

1. Jurassic Park
2. The Lost World: Jurassic Park
3. Jurassic World
4. Jurassic Park III
5. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Jurassic World 3 has a release date for June 11, 2021... TWO weeks before the release of The Batman. So we'll see how it does. Hopes aren't high though.

@L0RDbuckethead - that's a dicey move going 2 weeks prior to Batman even if the film isn't good :/ .

@knocturnalzen10 - Man, I couldn't get past the destruction of the island. I thought that was so stupid. Since I haven't seen the movie, it isn't part of my headcanon. The series ends with all the dinos being free at the end of JW.

Hope not, I was glad Goldblum was only a cameo in fallen kingdom, don’t want to taint the originals by merging them together even more
