We're now only two nights away from the eagerly awaited trailer debut for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and with the clock ticking down, Entertainment Weekly has released a brand new photo of a Baryonyx - one of many new dinosaurs set to debut in the upcoming sequel - as well as a ton of cool new plot details.

First up, the film will pick up several years after the events of 2015's Jurassic World with Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) seemingly at a complicated point in their burgeoning relationship. Howard explains “Claire’s founded an organization, Dinosaur Protection Group, and they’re finding a way to get these dinosaurs off the island." However, when an extinction-level event threatens to end all dinosaur life on Isla Nublar as we know it, "She reaches out to Owen Grady to let him know this is happening. When you see them at the beginning of this story, you get caught up as to what’s going on... But it’s not what you would necessarily expect.

As for the one major returning player, director J.A. Bayona (The Impossible; A Monster Calls) teases “I had to overcome the impact of being in front of Ian Malcolm. After so many years, Jeff Goldblum was in front of a camera again talking about dinosaurs!” Well, after his scene-stealing performance as The Grandmaster in Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok brought him back into the spotlight, it should be an even bigger treat to see Goldblum step back into arguably his most iconic role to date, Dr. Ian Malcolm, next June.

Check out the first look photo of the Baryonyx below:

My god they're gonna blow up Isla Nublar.

I enjoyed it but the original will always be king for me, but put BDH in the picture and my interest is peaked.

@Supercat6376 - Is that what the kids call it these days? "Interest"?

I'm sure it's piqued too ;) lol

Just doesn't have the same ring to it though. "My interest is erect." LOL

"Dude I'm sporting some serious interest here!"

Didn’t think that Jurassic World was particularly good. It wasn’t really *bad*, but still... that synopsis doesn’t exactly fire up my curiosity for more.

Dinosaur protection group seems stupid, tbh. After the massacre of the previous film they should've let the dinos live out their own fates, or do everything in their power to keep them in that island.

@ALF9001 - Exactly. The UN should have stepped in making Isla Sorna and Isla Nublar a No-Fly zone and a protected island where no human can enter. And let the dinosaurs naturally go extinct.

What would have been cool though is a Jurassic Ocean movie where underwater dinosaurs migrate away from Isla Sorna/Nublar and find themselves stalking a cruise ship out in sea hungry for food.

"Well, after his scene-stealing performance as The Grandmaster in Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok" Sigh. I know riding Marvel is the cool thing to do as they can apparently do no wrong, but come on. Goldblum acted like Goldblum and the character sucked. And Planet Hulk was not really essential to any of the plot...or the Hulk in general, really. But typical Marvel, shoehorning in a half-assed adaptation instead of putting everything into making it the most faithful adaptation they could. Just like Civil War...which is especially saddening now that they'll likely have F4 and X-Men rights and it makes you wonder if they had waited to do a movie until these characters, especially Spider-Man, were more fleshed out and we had a chance to connect with them more, if Civil War would have been more effective. But instead, we got no brainwashing scene, no Captain America murder, no public outing of Spider-Man, even the reason for the war was different.

Don't really know what plot they can cook up in that lab to make this worthwhile as far as story goes, but it should be a visual spectacle at the very least. Jurassic World wasn't altogether very substantive.

I really hated the plot of Jurassic World...and hated the movie. I'll give this a chance, though.
