The first trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong is set to roar online tomorrow, and Legendary has now shared one last micro-teaser for the highly anticipated monster mash, focusing (yet again) on the great ape...

Ahead of tomorrow's full trailer, Legendary has released another brief teaser for Godzilla vs. Kong.

Most of the other spots have focused on the King of Skull Island, and this is no different, as we see a young child holding up what appears to be some kind of Kong doll while the great ape approaches. The voiceover (possibly Alexander Skarsgard's character?) says "we need Kong... the world needs him," which would seem to back up the theory that Kong will be portrayed as the "hero" in this particular battle, with 'Zilla taking on a more antagonistic role.

Of course, the iconic beasts will probably end up joining forces to take on an even larger threat - but only after one of 'em is bested.

Check out the short video below, and be sure to drop back tomorrow for the trailer.

"In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever."

Starring Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Shun Oguri, Jessica Henwick and Brian Tyree Henry, Godzilla Vs. Kong pits the two famous monsters against each other in an epic battle. Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok) and Max Borenstein (The Terror) wrote the screenplay, with Adam Wingard on board as director.

The movie is set for release in theaters and on HBO Max this March.

So we can pretty much take the “they fight a bit and then they’re mates” plot points to the bank with this movie right?

I’m excited. I enjoyed the last two Godzilla movies, and as a lifelong fan of King Kong I didn’t love Kong: Skull Island bc it deviates way to far away from that story for my taste but I can accept it for what it is as long as this has dope kaiju destruction

@Ha1frican - I mean it’s fair to say they won’t have one or the other ‘win’ I can’t think of a ‘Vs’ movie that ever had the balls to piss off one side of the fans by putting forward an actual winner

@RokoVII - Unfortunately, all the glimpses of the fights we have seen so far take place during a rain and/or night :/

I don't understand why, when Skull Island had big fight scenes in the broad daylight and they looked fine.
