For whatever reason, Warner Bros. hasn't shared a single trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong, and with that new March release date fast approaching, a fan-made teaser emphasises what little we've really seen...

Despite the fact Godzilla: King of Monsters underwhelmed (critically, commercially and, perhaps most importantly, with fans), there's still plenty of excitement for crossover event Godzilla vs. Kong.

The prospect of seeing those two goliaths squaring off on the big screen is an exciting one, though the kicker is that the movie is unlikely to receive a theatrical release. It was recently moved up from Memorial Day weekend to this March, and that likely means we'll be watching at home, on HBO Max.

Bizarrely, that release date change wasn't followed by a new trailer. We do, however, have a fan-made teaser which uses all the officially released footage...and there's not a lot of it! All of what we see here has just been used in promos for HBO Max, but why is the marketing campaign non-existent?

Well, you have to believe COVID-19 has played a role, but with a release date set, there's no reason not to start sharing posters, trailers, and TV spots, especially as Godzilla vs. Kong like this could be a big draw for HBO Max. The only other possibility is that Warner Bros. knows they have a stinker on their hands, and it's simply not worth the money hyping up a movie which will disappoint.

Check out this fan-made teaser below:

I am really getting tired of seeing fan made trailers for all these properties that are releasing soon.
Especially to those YouTube channels that take a recently new image that was released and slap it on their windows movie maker mixed video for clicks.

@TheFireForce - as someone who frequently criticized Josh before, this isn't clickbait. Clickbait is being purposefully misleading. The title clearly states this trailer is fan made. And the only way you wouldn't know this is if you just didn't bother reading the title.

That and I think it's great to give a shout out to fans making content like this. Especially with how little new content we're getting from Hollywood lately.

@Origame -

No no. I wasn’t give Josh shit about the article or its content.

I have a huge problem with those on YouTube that don’t put “Fan-Made” labels of properties just to get click bait.
Hence why I mentioned those that use newly released images for their avatar on their fan made content to throw people off for views.

And I myself enjoy a good fan made trailer or fan film every so often.
Lord knows how many times we have seen fans do it better than Hollywood in more ways than one.

@Origame - then shame on you. This isn’t even content. It’s 10 seconds of trailer with 3 seconds of footage and title screens.
Nobody knows that there is a lack of content better than fans and those anticipating the film but to create an article you are getting paid for by adding nothing to the subject at hand is ridiculous.
If you want to give “credit” to someone then give it to someone who has done something unique or creative with the subject.

@SatsuiNoJXA - ok. I will say that the tweet itself is pretty misleading.

@Origame - I don't fault Wilding for sharing fanmade content, and I don't see this article as clickbait or misleading, but it shouldn't be here. As in here I mean in the news section. This site have sections far better suit for this content, and it's definitely not news. I think that's what @TheFireForce was mainly getting at. He made a news story out of something that should just be simply the sharing of fanmade content.

@RextheKing - that makes way too much sense for this site. I would totally be fine with that but clearly this site would rather get the clicks with subpar articles on their news feed...

Since the first trailer for Godzilla: King of Monsters was probably one of the best trailers i’ve seen, and, well, let’s just say the movie definitely wasn’t, i’m not gonna get too hyped from the trailer for this incase. But man, why on earth is it taking them so long?? Does spell good things

This is a good thing. Too many trailers spoil a movie.

Hey Josh you must’ve accidentally deleted my last comment on here so let me refresh you again
What was the point of you making this article?
You have added no viable information to the subject and from my view just googled fan made trailer for gvk and decided to create a “story” around it. It’s almost as if though it’s a clickbait article with no point 🤔
