Godzilla vs. Kong roars its way on to HBO Max next month, and while Mecha-Godzilla appears to be a lock for the crossover event (his role is certainly not a well-kept secret), we've not heard a lot about plans for other monsters. However, some merchandise has now revealed at least a few new additions to the MonsterVerse.

While these stylised bag clips don't offer a particularly accurate representation of what we'll see on screen, we do now know that "Warbat" and "Hellhawk" will be getting in on the action.

Silly names aside, they do look like potentially formidable opponents for Godzilla and/or Kong, and we're sure Hellhawk won't look quite so adorable in Godzilla vs. Kong! Regardless, that "Exclusive A" figure is almost certainly Mecha-Godzilla, and it's clear now that there's going to be quite a few surprises in this movie.

When you think back to how grounded 2014's Godzilla was, it's bonkers that the franchise is heading down this route, but it should be fun to see what sort of role the robotic Kaiju plays in the blockbuster.

Given the tepid box office response to Godzilla: King of the Monsters and this movie's HBO Max release, it's unclear what comes next for the MonsterVerse franchise, but if this is the end, it should be quite the finale.

Think warbat is made from ghidora’s head

@dracula - I think their Skull Island creatures. The trailer already shows Kong swinging one of them around to hit another in a jungle area.

@dracula - they are hollow earth titans, that subplot plays a big role in the movie from what has been shown or heard about

Can't wait. I've always loved Kong. I remember seeing the De Laurentiis remake in the late 70's and it had such an impact. Probably my first monster movie, since then I've been hooked.

Recently rewatched Godzilla, and it's still my favorite in the MonsterVerse. Did scale and atmosphere really well, so it's wild to see MechGodzilla now

The arms of mecha godzilla remind me of the version in ready player one. I'm wondering if they were sitting on that design and lent it to Spielberg for that film. That way when this movie eventually comes out it would solidify the idea that ready player one is a story in the future.

The only movie in March I'm looking forward to. Can't wait!

So how tall is Kong? I feel like they change his height for whatever their needs are. Gozilla has some peceived consistency to his level of massiveness.

@Scion - Well he's grown in the past 50 years since the events of Kong: Skull Island, so he's adult size now, I believe I remember the filmmakers saying.
