Lionsgate CEO Says They May Make 7 More POWER RANGERS Movies; New Photos Reveal 'Red Ranger' In Action

Lionsgate must be really high on their upcoming Power Rangers reboot because they seem very keen on making a lot more! Plus, latest set photos feature a suited up Red Ranger fighting Putty Patrollers!

It's a Power Ranger world and we're all just living in it.

Even though production on Lionsgate's upcoming Power Rangers reboot has yet to wrap, the studio must really like what they've seen so far from the Dean Israelite-directed film as during a conference call earlier today, Lionsgate
CEO Jon Feltheimerafter sharing his enthusiasm for the upcoming project: "We are really, really excited about the ‘Power Rangers’ movie," revealed that he potentially envisions a future where "We could see doing five or six or seven." He also added that they were quite pleased with the positive reaction to the costume reveal.

Now, we all know how this turned out for LeBron James, former Miami Heat forward and current Cleveland Cavaliers flopper extraordinaire, who more or less guaranteed eight titles at his Miami welcome party back in 2010, but only delivered two before jetting off back to his mom's house. However, this could turn out better and there's plenty of reason to be optimistic. The Power Rangers franchise has already proven its ability to withstand the test of time as it remains wildly popular nearly twenty-five years after its initial launch in 1993 and there's certainly still a large market of fans worldwide, spanning multiple generations now, eager to see future installments based on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as well as see later iterations like Zeo, Turbo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, etc. get their own adaptations.

Whether it all actually happens will be determined by how well the upcoming reboot is received and performs at the box office next March. The film stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Ludi Lin, and Becky Gomez as the five teenagers with attitudes and features Elizabeth Banks as the villainous Rita Repulsa.

Check out the latest set photos below featuring a suited up Red Ranger as he battles a couple guys in green screen suits, who are rumored to be depicting Rita Repulsa's band of Putty Patrollers, and head over to YVR Shoots for a lot more!

So, what do you guys think? Pretty cool, huh? Sound off with your thoughts below and don't forget to head over to YVR Shoots for more photos!
