To kickoff their annual New York Toy Fair presentation this past weekend, Hasbro debuted a brand new trailer for Power Rangers Beast Morphers season two, offering an extended look at the coming year as well as official confirmation that the twenty-eighth season of the long-running action series, set to air in 2021, will adapt Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger.

The action-packed new trailer also offers a fresh look at the return of original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers star Austin St. John as the legendary Red Ranger, Jason Lee Scott, and previews his involvement in the season's big crossover episode, which will see the Mighty Morphin, Dino Thunder and Dino Charge teams partner up with the Beast Morphers team to take on their most dangerous adversary yet.

While it doesn't look like any of St. John's former MMPR co-stars nor any members of the Dino Thunder cast will join him for the big reunion, there are a few other special guest stars that will appear in the special episode as Dino Charge actors Brennan Mejia (Red), James Davies (Black), Yoshi Sudarso (Blue) and Davi Santos (Gold) have all now been confirmed to reprise their roles.

Jason originally debuted in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers before leaving midway through the second season due to contract disputes. He later returned to play the fan-favorite Gold Ranger in Power Rangers Zeo and also appeared in Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie before making his last appearance in the Power Rangers Wild Force ten-year anniversary episode, "Forever Red."

Scientists combine a substance called “Morph-X” with animal DNA to create the Power Rangers Beast Morphers. The Rangers must fight off an evil computer virus bent on taking over the source of Ranger power, the Morphin Grid.

It seems like Power Rangers is more corny now than it already was.

@Reeds2Much - and also the Kyurangers.
It's more undertandable because of the scope, but Pat and Lupin? I guess having a group of teenage/young adult robbers who are also heroes is kind of a no no for the network.

@Reeds2Much - seems like they have been skipping for a while. They could always go back to it. Id say save it for the next anniversary season and do power rangers hexagon

I’ve been reading the TMNT/ MMPR comics and they’re pretty good. Looking forward to issues 4 and 5.

Also been reading TMNT/Ghostbusters 2 from 2017. I need issues 2 and 5. Where do you buy past issues of comics?

Been a fan since I was kid, since Mighty Morphin and it hurts to see what Saban and Hasbro have turned this into.

Just a blatant money grab to sell toys now. And even the Lightning Collection toys don’t compare to the initial Legacy Collection collectibles that were put out and distributed to ToysRUs.

The magic that made those first few seasons isn’t there anymore

The 2017 movie was terrible as well.

....But to be an adult about this, these new rangers and seasons aren’t catered for me and have been going strong for the kids and that is great. Every generation of kids deserves its set of Power Rangers.

@Reeds2Much -

Well usually when pop culture phenomena start, there is a certain love and effort put into it.....THAT IS HOW THESE THINGS USUALLY GO.

Must I bring up, Schumacher’s Batman to further explain my analogy?

@SatsuiNoJXA - You could, but then I'd bring up the Bob the Goon and Penguin's Penguins toys.
