if you read the Homefront issues from Fear Itself, Speedball looks EXACTLY like Chris Pine. perfect casting.

Slam on Chris Pine's height out of nowhere. Dude is 6' 1". So, yeah, he probably couldn't play Colossus. ???

I agree about Lindelof, though.

Ha! He's a pretty honest guy..by not admitting to liking Star Trek & being annoyed at lack of fan enthusiasm could make some people dislike him but I think he does a great job in the role.

He was great in the movie, but Benedict Cumberpatch has become a god among women.

@IM53 The last comic book I got was the Nova Comic book. And I thought that Chris Pine would be perfect for that role.

Either him or Bradley Cooper.

Written by Gene Roddenberry my ass! He invented and made proper intelligent scifi Star Trek, not this action movie shit they're passing off for people who can't watch real Trek so need it in easy to swallow basic action movie terms with yet another English accented villain.

Die Hard has a lot to answer for.

It's funny, when someone offers a different version of an older tv show or an older movie, then everyone's inner bitch comes out.

I never liked Star Trek until I saw the first movie. And then I started watching T.O.S. And I love the old series as well. But to make these days, you need to do more then what the original series did.

JJ Abrams did turn Star Trek into an action movie. But he made an action movie with great acting, well developed characters, and a simple, but good plot.

Yes he changed things in his new universe, but it actually worked. Despite the changes, he made a good movie.

I know you old school trekkies want the same Star Trek you used to have, but that's not gonna happen in new movies.

If you want your old Trek, go to Netflix and watch it. Let those who actually like this new Trek, enjoy it without hearing/reading the constant complaints about it.

Gotta credit him for his honesty, though to be honest, it really would be naive for people to think that in every massively popular film adaptation, the whole cast are all fans as well...

So Chris Pine isn't a fan. Apprently neither is J.J. Abrams. I still haven't forgiven him for the travesty that was Star Trek '09. How much mor dmage can this guy do to Roddeberry's vision?
