While we await a final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (it's expected later this month, but we haven't had official word), a new batch of stills have found their way online thanks to the Topps trading card app and some merchandise packaging art.

The images are not hi-res and some are better quality than others, but they do provide fresh looks at one of the mysterious Knights of Ren holding his weapon aloft, a Sith Jet Trooper, Rose Tico conversing with Rey, Poe, Finn, and new alien character Klaud.

Check out the stills (click on the Twitter link for the smaller ones) along with some previously released character standees for The Rise of Skywalker and The Mandalorian by clicking on the view list button below.

Man this is super depressing :/ they could've left Lando alone. I stopped hoping for him to return after seeing how the iconic trio have been treated in the first two movies

Honestly, it's not just Rian. I know everyone likes to point the finger specifically at him, but this entire direction they went with after purchasing the rights from Lucas, it's just a lowpoint for the franchise in my opinion. These movies don't have anything interesting to say or hold on to. The characters are so empty. Adam Driver's acting is great and they've scratched the surface with some interesting ideas, but in general, I think Disney really disrespected the legacy of the original trilogy.

They haven't touched the prequels, and say what you want about them, but I cared about those characters, as bad as the script/effects were at times. I was riding high when Force Awakens was announced and I couldn't have predicted that my enjoyment of Star Wars would tank in just a few years. Rogue One was pretty cool, I'm looking forward to the Mandalorian, but this new trilogy has done nothing for me and the episodes are obviously the most important part. This just seems like such a dumb and uninteresting continuation of the story that was put out there in the 70s/80s.

This final movie is going to try so hard to win people over and I think some of the stuff we've read is just going to piss people off further. I will walk out if they go full Endgame and time travel through CGI reconstructions of the original trilogy. Just bad. Just my personal opinion of course. There are so many more interesting stories that were in the extended universe/books/games that were all thrown out in favor of Rey, Kylo, Finn and Poe.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - everything you said is UNDENIABLY TRUE. Its a TOO LITTLE TOO LATE situation with this trilogy.

The shows can be a real palette cleanser and all we can do is hope that whatever Feige has cooking is good too.

The real question is “will the Knights Of Ren actually do something or just basically be boring and unimpressive moving props like Phasma was”

@Pitydafool - an acknowledgement of failure by Disney?

Marvel branch under Feige, yes.

Lucasfilm under Kennedy, nope.

To think that this could/should have been the Endgame of the main Star Wars saga...
