Star Wars: The Last Jedi featured a lot of big surprises but perhaps the best was the return of Yoda. Brought to life with a puppet identical to the one from The Empire Strikes Back, he was also voiced by returning actor Frank Oz and seeing him poke fun at Luke Skywalker was a lot of fun. However, a new report claims we haven't seen the last of the iconic Jedi Knight and that he'll return in Episode IX.

According to the New York Daily News' sources "familiar" with the upcoming threequel from director J. J. Abrams, "The success of the scenes featuring Yoda in The Last Jedi
were huge. Yoda will again appear as a ghost as he acknowledges Rey’s success and growth as a Jedi. The scenes are due to be put together later this year." Production is expected to start in July so official details will likely be revealed soon but the trailer and title are unlikely to be revealed until Star Wars Celebration 2019.

In the meantime, this is a really interesting rumour and one which makes a lot of sense. After all, recent comments from Mark Hamill have pointed to Luke Skywalker not coming back to the franchise after his demise in The Last Jedi so Rey will need guidance from somewhere! For now, it's obviously best to take this with a pinch of salt but be sure to let us know your thoughts on this news down below.
