SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Limps Past $264.2 Million Worldwide; May Struggle To Reach $400 Million

Things aren't looking up for Solo: A Star Wars Story during its second weekend of release because the latest numbers are in and it doesn't appear as if the spinoff will manage to crack $400 million...

Well, this has got to hurt. During its second weekend of release, Solo: A Star Wars Story dropped 65% from the $84.7 million it made in its first three days to earn a total of $29.3 million in North America. That brings its current domestic haul up to $148.9 million, a modest amount which isn't a patch on the $286 million that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - the first spinoff - made by its second weekend.

Internationally, Solo isn't doing much better because it only managed to make $30.3 million this weekend to take its global total up to a meagre $264.2 million. That's not a good result and many analysts now believe that it will have its work cut out for it if it hopes to even reach $400 million by the time all is said and done. For whatever reason, moviegoers just haven't responded to this movie.

Deadpool 2, on the other hand, wasn't that far behind Solo because it scored an impressive $23.3 million in North America this weekend which points to people gravitating to that over this latest Star Wars adventure. What did you guys decide to check out in
theaters these past few days? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on that and Solo's failings in the comments section down below.
