i thought about it , and i realized people can't do without SW's whether it's good or bad .... so i'll be expecting another 3 film run in the near future

@MrNegative - peeople are spoiled...if they dont see anything ressemble the original they bitch and moan, like this is a new take on aladdin doesnt have to be a 100% copy...yea its not perfect but i think it looked good, and will looked just like a genie is suppose to look in live action ...cgi just needs some touch up

@soberchimera @theprophet Problem is when you cast Will Smith to be a blue man, it doesn't matter how many effects you use on it. It will always be a Blue Will Smith, suspending the disbelief.

Should've cast someone less known.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Not a shitty character. He was decent. Him being immediately just shot and killed is not only more realisitc, which Logan was wholly, but subverts a trope - as he was explaining his evil, menacing plan.

- Emphasis on "subverts" because I'm in the TLJ mindset.

Luke was wearing Black in ROTJ and embraced the light.

Hope it's the opposite this time. Would be one of the ONLY twists to really shake SW to me.

Rey's so [frick]ing powerful it would be awesome to see her being an uncontrolled force of evil.

That and seeing Kylo having to deal with all he's done and trying to redeem himself. Would take GOOOOOOD writing but it would be possible.

It will never happen but would be a nice change.

@Fogs - Rey should've took Kylo's [frick]ing hand in TLJ. The fact that she didn't annoys the hell out of me. That would've truly been a step towards something new - beyond that point the film just reverts back to the regular ol' stuff.

- Rey accepts his twisted view.
- Rey reveals a totalitarian mindset - "I can change everything and all is going to be good in MY VIEW"
- Kylo sees how twisted things have become, steps out of it maybe by listening to Leia - but he brought Rey to the Dark Side already

Jeez, this could be so good. Different and tricky - but good.

And also yes, TLJ basically started and ended in the same place.

@Soos - Rey taking Kylo's hand wouldn't have been her turning bad. It would've been a middle-ground. Kylo wanted away with the Resistance and the First Order.

I couldn't care less which way she goes because she hasn't even flirted with the dark-side and barely, if at all, been offered it.

There's no tension that she'll turn because KK wouldn't allow that to happen to her golden-girl who, from the start, has been made out to be an immaculate role-model for young girls.

@Soos - I like Rey's character. I think she needed to have some better writing but she was OK as a promise in TFA.

Problem is she's basically Luke now. A well-written exchange of places with Kylo would be something new - we already had good-evil with Anakin and evil-good with Vader.

Plus since TFA we see Kylo isn't too sure on the Dark Side. He's clearly conflicted.

On a sidenote: I can't believe we're already ending the new trilogy and wasted precious character development time with TLJ. Makes me sick.

@Fogs - The whole trilogy has been a waste.
A wasted opportunity, a waste of talent (excluding the obvious bunch), a waste of the original cast.

And you know they're going to market IX as the end of the Skywalker saga and as a finale when in-fact we already know they want to continue even further. The majority of Star Wars movies are already bad, I'd hate the majority to be with Rey and that lot.

@Fogs - Agreed on all points. As of now, the job of the franchise is to generate big revenues, not come up with great script/stories. I'm a lifelong SW fan but after TLJ i find it a struggle to really care.

@Nebula - I can find (a few) qualities, but not many. Was excited cause Star Trek was a competent Soft Reboot IMO. JJ was a good name to continue the saga, keeping the originals' spirit. He played very safe in TFA but hey, given the last SW films we had were the prequels, I got his safe playing.

Then Rogue One Happened (yeah, that's some unnecessary, soul-less crap). Then TLJ. Then Solo.

Yeap. Disney screwed up big time.
