Best thing in this trilogy and even he had a crap end.

@Highflyer - really wish it would've gone the Treverrow road. Really wanted to see Kylo become a full-on bad guy

I don't think anyone really cares, the films under Disney have been garbage for the most part. Rogue One has been their best to date.

@Canon108 - They were garbage under Lucas too.

It's a smart retcon indeed, but I was fine with the Clone Wars explanation too. Just too Sith, and rest were enforcers. This is just rephrasing it

Well it always seemed like a rule that people who behave like the Sith would ignore whenever convenient. And how much difference is there between a strong force user who does bad things and use the dark side of the force and someone who has the official title of Sith?

So does Kevin J.Anderson get credit for this then?

I recall (and there may have been something sooner) but in DARK HORSE COMICS TALES OF THE JEDI - THE SITH WAR, you had

Exar Kun, The Dark Lord of the Sith, which there could be only one.
Ulic Qel-Droma, his number two, but also marked by the Sith

The rest of the Jedi in that story line were seduced Dark Jedi, but never turned to the Sith.

They wrote that in 1995...so 25 years ago.

@IronGenesis - all this was part of Legacy that got dumped by Disney so they could claim they didnt have dozens of books and comics and had tonstart from scratch KK. It also allows them to claim firsts that already happened.

@Raptor2442 - your so right. But the fans will know what is really going on.

After the collective dumpster fire from the last trilogy ...

@GeneralZod - The 3 fan fiction movies by Disney are in no way a "trilogy" imo. There is no cohesive story that runs through all 3 of them connecting them. It's just a bunch of stuff thrown at the screen with no real consistent narrative. Just my .02 cents of course.

@Feralwookiee - This is precisely why I don't give a shit about anything Star Wars-related anymore. Except Mando. That is my only hope -- to pull us of the sewage.

The Rule of Two brings about some interesting story dynamics but as it gets explored more, it just now traps writers to a corner. It definitely forces some creativity but writers end up "ignoring" it to create fringe Sith-like characters that co-exist with the Two.

I feel like this retcon is much needed.
