Lucasfilm recently gave fans an early glimpse of the latest form of Imperial fighter to menace the galaxy far, far away via some official
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker merch, and now that SDCC is underway, some more details on the Sith Troopers have come to light.
There was speculation that these formidable-looking fellows will be utilized as guards for the returning Emperor Palpatine, but the description accompanying the Comic-Con floor display confirms that they will actually serve the First Order. There's also a strong hint that these new Troopers will indeed draw power from the Dark Side of The Force, which obviously makes them a far greater threat to Rey and The Resistance than any previous Imperial soldier.
In its ultimate push towards galactic conquest, the First Order readies an army of elite soldiers that draw inspiration and power from a dark and ancient legacy.
