Didn't the Phantom Menace originally have a higher Rotten Tomato score, but was lowered when it was re-released in 2011, and critics were able to dump on it?

I rewatched Ep. 1 -8 before 9, and the worst one to me is still 2 Attack of the Clones.

Maybe it's because I don't know much about Star Wars, but when I saw TROS, I thought it was complete nonsense by the third act.

Turns out, actual fans thought that too.

Although it did enjoy it quite a lot, in terms of actual quality I think it's just a bit better than The Phantom Menace.

Better than Attack of the Clones though? No way, in my eyes that one has one of the most underrated stories of all saga movies.

@MalseMarcel - I will honestly never understand how people shit all over The Last Jedi yet say Attack of The Clones is good. I’ve loved every single Star Wars film, whilst AOTC is good visually/story wise, it’s a terribly made film with bad acting, awful dialogue. It’s really not underrated I’m actually surprised it’s not the worst rated.

TROS, whilst I enjoyed it is tied with AOTC for the worst Star Wars Movie imo

@Matfin93 - Oh I'm not surprised that AOTC has such a bad rating, since the bad things definitely outweigh the good things in that movie. AOTC and TROS are both enjoyable, but AOTC has a better story in my opinion.

And I agree with people shitting on TLJ whilst saying AOTC is good, I guess we're one of the few people who like and enjoy all of em (although might not agree on how well regarding each entry)

I saw the original in a theater in 77, and won't even bother to torrent this one. It's not that I'm a disgruntled fanboy, for me the story ended with ROTJ, and I'm glad there are people who enjoy these films.

As far as I'm concerned Star Wars is now in a worse place than the DCEU. Which isn't an easy feat, because BvS is one of my least favourite movies of all time. But they simply have more options to deal with failure.

Batfleck sucks? Reboot with Pattinson.

Luke Skywalker sucks? Guess Luke Skywalker sucks now.

I haven't seen it. I really don't care about star wars now (i wasn't the biggest fan either but for example, i enjoyed Rogue One A LOT). What really killed SW was TLJ. It's fine if you liked the movie but if the director trash on the target audience, treat you like an idiot and such, well...you can expect the audienxe to not care about this story that much anymore. That's what happened to Solo, and now this. It's sad but it is what it is. Rian Johnson ruined the whole franchise by taking the fun and the joy of it.
